Nice emails from nice people

December 19, 2023

Zack,

I wanted to send this email to say how grateful I am towards you. Thanks to your advice I caught my first home run ball. I am 52 years old and I am finally on the board!

This past June my Son, Dean, and I traveled to Chicago to see the Phils play at Wrigley. Unfortunately there was no batting practice that night because Canadian wildfire smoke blanketed the city, but because we got there early, we got a good spot in the left field bleachers, on the aisle, that gave us lots of space.

The preparation paid off in the bottom of the 4th when Dansby Swanson’s home run bounced around the bleachers a bit and finally came to rest in my left hand! It was the thrill of a lifetime and you played a part in making it happen.

Both my Son and I are big fans of yours, and we hope to maybe one day meet you at Citizens Bank Park.

Thanks again!

Ed

Zack…you are amazing man. Thank you more than words. The smile on Braden’s face (and now talking about it and retelling) is everything. We bought your book, it arrives tomorrow…would love an autograph on it if I can send to you pls let me know where. Might be hard to tell what he’s been through but he was in an induced coma with a breathing tube from brain surgery complications just 8 weeks ago and is learning to walk again and be independent…this after a similar situation from 2018 (different tumor type). He is our hero and truly the sweetest thing in the world. We are working so hard to make everything available, hopefully effective while also a good, fun life for Braden…which you helped with so much today. Truly wonderful!

Thank you again.

-Samuel

Dear Mr. Zack Hample,

I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to thank you for your inspirational, entertaining videos, and your continuing career. I am about to turn 22 years old, and I have been watching you since I was about 12 or 13 years old, if my memory serves me correctly.

I am now in college, but I remember coming home from middle school and running to the computer. The first thing I would look for was a new Zack Hample video.

Zack, it has been a pleasure to watch your content over the years. I know you have so many great moments, but some that stand out to me the most were when you caught baseballs at the Rogers Centre from a hotel room, or when you showcased the swimming pool at Chase Field, not to mention all your exhilarating home run and foul ball catches during game time. Especially those of Mike Trout’s first home run and A-Rod’s 3000th hit. Even simple moments like exploring new stadiums or rating stadium food. I lived vicariously through you.

It has been so entertaining to watch you throughout the years. I am not even a super baseball fan like yourself, in fact, I don’t even make it to many MLB games. However, your videos and passion for baseball have kept my fire burning for the game.

I am from Detroit, and whenever I saw a video of you in Comerica Park, I was always bummed that I missed the chance to see you! To this day, whenever I go to Comerica Park, I always think about you and wonder if you are in the stands!

As much hate and controversy as you receive, I just wanted to write a sincere, positive message to you to express my appreciation for your continuing passion for baseball, and how it keeps the spark for the game of baseball in me alive also. I hope to meet you one day! Thank you, Zack.

Sincerely,
Charles

Hey Zack,

I happened upon your website, I think linked from Tablet, and found engaging not only that it is about baseball, but so revealing about this particular baseball fan, maybe obsessively fan, but if not, maybe there wouldn’t be such a website. You are so charmingly transparent, about yourself and about your love for the game and how it fits into your life.  So, thank you, and (thus) I thought it worth at least my writing to you, for I too have been into baseball ever since my four years older sister recruited me into the wonders of fandom via connection through our old zenith b&w TV in the basement. And I grew up in a sort-of jewish household in the NYC metro area (on LI) though starting some years before you, born 1956.

Didn’t play much baseball – a season of little league and perhaps some pickup games – but played for several years, mostly in front of my house, stickball, and was pretty good at it. Some aspects in common with actual baseball, not much really, but thought I should mention it, and it’s a NYC thing.

Like yourself (I think) I am much less into who wins, much less a actual fanatic – at least for a particular team – and definitely much less into who loses, which I identify with hatred and demonization (a combination of overgeneralizing some misinterpretation of what one thinks they have witnessed and ascribes to ‘a bad’ person, or team, or what someone else tells “us” about… which I see as something similar to the sort of antisemitism I’ve mostly only heard and read about… a combination of spurning others AND not understanding that if we weren’t so committed to our habits of thinking, being slaves to  our hatreds (in this case), we – people – can continue to develop, to change, live with others (and our-selves!) much more peacefully and perhaps comfortably, enjoyably, if we had that peace of mind that comes with comity and trusting [or naivety], maybe to explore and try out instead of being stuck  – in such discomfort, in turmoil, over imagined needs for greater security. Not that one can be blamed if their early development was one of being ignored or bullied, be it my family or local community. But I stray from the world of baseball.

So (anyway?), I was, or have been a Mets fan since the mid-60’s, been to Shea stadium maybe not quite a dozen times – to games against the world champion Cards (early ’67), Dodgers and Giants… was there when Bob Moose pitched his no hitter – boring! – then had other things to do in my life, and didn’t live in the area either, for most of the 70’s, the 80’s & 90’s, watched the final game of the subway series with a friend (grew up in Lancaster) at a bar in Ithaca – the two of us were the only ones routing for the Mets, and then went to Shea two more times in the early years of the present millenium, the better one being against the Astros though the other game I experienced with my daughter – it was her first time at a MLB game in a very large ballpark – we had been to quite a few minor league, collegian, and post college games. I remember well what she said as we walked down the steep upper mezzanine stairs – “look dad, there is a roof [above us]!”. Those last two games were a short drive from where I had completed running an excellent NYCRR event – the Queens Half-marathon, and I remember well the signs on the taxis, Alfonso thanking the citizens-fans of Queens, or maybe all of NYC, pretty classy man! I was impressed, had to go to the game, though I am sure I had planned, or thought about, going. I’ve been a couple games with my daughter at CITI – a fine ball park, much better than Shea.

I might mention at this point that I am (indeed) a lifelong runner. Started running in a more formal or structured manner as a preteen, raced the 440 to 880 in school, ran but didn’t race for the next twenty years, then picked it (racing) up and joined a local runner’s club, racing from my mid to late thirties though my forties and into my fifties. So running, and not swinging at a ball (and all that other great stuff that makes it baseball as opposed to golf, or tennis, or whatever, and I love the field aspects of the game much more than the pitch and usually miss, occasionally hit), is my entre into the world of ‘physical culture’; I dig both the actual activity, the movement (both of body and through the varying environments) as well as the social aspects of it, that comes of racing – it’s much more participative, obviously, than being a spectator. Though I do appreciate, a lot, how great spectating so many types of sport has become from when I first spectated it by way of a low resolution b&w TV (and more often on the radio) sans slomo, replay from several camera shots – close ups! – and especially what this has done for football. Fantastic productions. Tennis and hockey can be so much improved from what it is; basketball, I don’t really know what to make of it. And obviously… this hardly takes in much of the sports world.

So, I suppose, I would be remiss if I didn’t write to you a baseball (related) story… deciding to forego favorite experiences, best memories – I’m sure you have experienced enough already.

In 1969, my favorite year as a Mets fan (why would that be?!), my grandma, that is, my mother’s father’s fourth wife, his two previous ones having died, one in the ‘40’s, the next, who I knew well, in the 60’s… Ceil was a wonderful, charming woman and a great grand-mother, as much or as long as I got to know her. She, and thus I (I guess) had a cousin, a Phillies fan whose favorite was Robin Roberts BTW, who attended a game at Yankee stadium in 1951, and like yourself, acquired a game ball, I am sure caught it from in the stands, and then went to the dugout (I assume, how else?) and asked players to sign. I wasn’t told this, but perhaps there was some sort of acquaintance between them or something that would explain the degree to which they obliged. This ball, which Ceil gifted to me, had the signatures, in green pen, of 33 Yankees, including MM (his first year on the roster) and Joltin’ Joe (his last), and including quite the squad, several future managers, though Martin only signed it once (and Houk, Berra – only once as well). But it disappeared from my bedroom not long after, and having searched the house – twice on consecutive days – well it was gone, and I learned, or I affirmed as I probably was already of mind, a valuable life lesson… though maybe not of as much value as that ball might now have if I still had it today

BTW, for the past three or so decades living here in the beautiful finger lakes region of NY, I attend mostly minor league games in Binghamton and Syracuse, though I’ve attended games in Elmira (Dunn field), in Auburn, other International League games in Rochester and Buffalo, and Sara (daughter) and I went to a game, double A of the Tigers I believe, in London Ontario in the early mid-90’s – neat. And, of course, college games here in Ithaca – CU and IC. There was a Northeast Collegian Baseball Association, or something like that, for a few years, maybe still, the games of which I attended with my daughter, in Ithaca, and once we went to Cortland. Played with wood bats I might add.

Hey Zack, hope all is well. I’m a big fan of your videos. Recently I lost my mom to brain cancer. She was bravely fighting the disease for 2 years. Your videos have cured me and I just wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for your fans and for me and my family. I am the same guy who texted you last year telling you About the passing of both my dog and my cat. It would make my day if you see this! Continue the great success!

Hi my name is Finn I am a HUGE baseball fan and a even bigger fan of you,I live in Houston Texas,I am 11 years old and I have tourette’s  syndrome which means I cant really control myself that well, and baseball is my way out after a long year of experimenting medicine and therapists I finaly found the medicine that works. When I was 9 years old I was diagnosed with tourette’s and I was doing my ticks so much that my eyes were red and I could barely open them,at the time I was afraid to play baseball because I was worried that I would tick when I was batting and on the field so I had to take a very long break but I ended up overcoming it and now I am a great baseball player. My question is could you send me a email by chance when you are in Houston and see if I can go to a baseball game with you it would mean the world to me. From Finn

October 8, 2023

What’s going on Zack, I really wanted to send you an email and I do not know why really, I do not send emails to youtubers very often, but I wanted to send one to you, I really enjoy your content, I hope you continue to make videos for children and people all across the MLB and Youth Sports. I’ve seen controversy against you which I do not really understand, you give 95% of your baseballs to children, and you still get hate for having fun, I really do not understand it. Anyways, that’s it I hope you are enjoying life out there catching baseballs and sipping Martinis in the pool at Chase Field. (Actually you probably cant drink and swim at the same time lol). I hope you have a great rest of your day, and try to come to Camden Yards more often, I know you hate the 1 hour before entrance, but I love the Orioles and seeing you at Camden Yards makes it 100x better.

Sincerely, Logan.

October 8, 2023

Zack,

I recently went to the Cubs vs Brewers game and got 3 balls - 2 during stadium tour and 1 toss up during Cubs batting practice.

I'm watching your video now of when you got the Felix ball at Camden.

I just wanted to say congratulations on all your success. I am very impressed by your willingness to give balls to kids and always stopping for your fans.

Keep up the good work.

Respectfully,
Michael

What’s up Zack? When I met you at Manitou Camp, I thought you were going to get signed.  You were a good hitter.  No one loved baseball more than you.  It was great coaching you at the camp.

Zack! Thanks for the pic Saturday man. It’s really awesome to see you doing what you love and blocking out all of the hate you get. Really uncalled for by trolls and losers who don’t have anything better to do than try and knock someone living out their dream! Thank you for everything you do for the game of baseball. I can’t wait to keep following you during your journey! Peace!

Dear Zack Hample,

You are the GOAT. I watched a Baseball Doesn't Exist video saying that you are one of the most controversial fans in baseball. That's not True. I started watching your videos and they were awesome. Every day I tune in watching your videos. I watched your documentary which was cool congratulations! You taught lots of fans how to get a ball at a game. I got a toss up from Dansby Swanson himself. I just wanted to say all of the haters are wrong and I 100% support you. I have a Youtube Channel and I would love to vlog my own games but unfortunately I can't because I'm just a kid. Those haters aren't good people. don't listen to them. They are just jealous because they just want money if they get a ball. But you only do it because you want to give them away to little kids and probably started their love for baseball games just like you. Your content is amazing. I actually recently started watching you like 3 months ago. And I just found out you caught A Rod's 3,000 hit. And you caught Mike Trout's first home run. It's just crazy how KIND you are. People are just jealous of you. There's always going to be someone that cares about. Remember that. And if you want you have my permission to put this on YouTube which probably won't happen. Just remember. YOUR THE GOAT.

Sincerely, Cylan

Hello Zack, I understand that this is a odd request which is why I’m writing it months in advance. Bowling Green Kentucky is the home of the Bowling Green Hotrods high a team of the Tampa Bay Rays. Since being founded in 2009 they have won 3 championships in their league including back to back championships from 2021-2022. A ton of prospects play for the team as well as having over 100 former players being called up to the big leagues and being successful, Bowling Green Ballpark has one of the best fan environments in minor league baseball along with one of the best stadiums in high a. If it is possible me and my friends would love to see you in a game during the 2024 season, if you consider it please let me know which day you go so I can make sure I’ll be there. Since you probably get these requests quite a lot I understand you probably cannot come but I’ll be looking forward to hearing back from you wether or not you can come since you’re an inspiration. The schedule for the hotrods 2024 season will be attached to this email. Have an amazing day or night whenever you are reading this!

September 3, 2023

Hello Zack, my name is Ben. I'm a huge fan of your videos! I recently saw your double header video where you were at Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Sad to say I was at the Cleveland game (on 8/23) and didn't see you! (Ugghhh!!). While you were by the bullpen watching Clayton Kershaw pitch, I was in foul ball territory in between the left foul pole and the Guardians dugout. Luckily for me I was able to get a tossup from Myles Straw right before the game started. (Picture below). In addition, I also got the lineup cards from Malachi Moore the very next day! (When the game was resumed). Anywho, I have question for you, are you going to be at Miguel Cabreras final game of his career on 10/1? If so I would LOVE to meet you!

Keep up the great work!
Ben.

September 2, 2023

Yo Zack, I just want to let you know that I love you. You make great content and played a big role in my child hood. Don't take all the bs from other people for something you've never done. Thank you for all the good content and I love you

Keep up the great work, and sending warm regards from Argentina! Best, Felix

August 30, 2023

Hey Zack
Stumbled upon your page by chance as I was on MiLB's site scouring through some on-sale t-shirts of minor league teams. Through them, ebbets field flannels, vintage brand, minor league sports team tees are basically my wardrobe. I went through your photos section. Super cool. Not just to see baseball stuff, but your life in the city, family, girlfriends, funny beards, and everything else. Really awesome to see someone so passionate about baseball. I am passionate about the past, present, future game. I am a lifelong Phils fan and have lived in or around Philly my whole life. Again, really appreciated your content. Not on social media much, but will continue to check out your page.

Take Care,
Bob

August 29, 2023

You’re a good man Zack Hample, you Mom should be proud for so many reasons. Number one, you’re a good son and always feature her on your social media. You are proud of her and it shows. Number two, I’m so happy my son follows you because you’re a good example on being a good person which is tough to find these days. I don’t have to worry when he’s watching your content. I actually think I watch more than him at this point

-Brad

August 27, 2023

Hey Zack, my name is Ethan and I am 14 from Michigan. I just wanted to tell you I'm a huge fan. Just like you I snag baseballs both during games and batting practice (except at minor league games). But also just like you, a couple minutes ago I got done making and testing my very own cup trick. I was also at the Tigers vs Angels double header and was bummed I didn't get to see you. Thank you for being such a great idol to me and your thousands of fans. Thanks again and have a great day.

August 25, 2023

Dear Zack Hample I hope you had fun filming that game I am a big Phillies fan and was nice to see you going to a Phillies game because you have not done it all season. I have never been to a little league game in my life you should try to go to the game in Alabama next season. I was able to spot you on my tv when Jake Cave hit that homer and I was like is that Zack Hample on that thing in the outfield. Can you please gave me a reply when you are able because I know that you are always going to more games so you can make videos for all of your fans. It would be fun for you to do more of videos at different places that are not major league fields.

From your fan

August 23, 2023

Zack

Emailed you several years ago about your videos and how I enjoyed your ballpark videos. I was early in sobriety (now leading a Celebrate Recovery). Struggled until I was 66 now month away from 6 years clean and my 72nd birthday. You brought back my love of baseball as a youth through your videos. Today I'm in Boston, 15 min walk to Fenway Park. Have tickets for Red Sox - Dodgers on Saturday the 26th. Section B134. Watching your Fenway vip access video and it drew me to send this email to you

We walked over to Fenway on Monday. Had no idea what was about to happen to me. My first glance and I had goosebumps run through my body and I teared up. Never realized how important this was going to be for me

Saturday when we go, I'm going to feel like little kid. Believe I'm going to feel just like I did in 1962 when I opened the double doors at Candlestick Park and saw the field for first time.

As you get older things change, games change and my passion/love for the game has changed with all the money, rule changes. But for one day this Saturday I'm going to get to have the excitement of a youth, appreciation of what baseball has meant to me.

I couldn't tell you starting lineups to todays teams, but I can still give you lineups from the 60's and 70's

Thank you so much for what you bring us. Hope this email brings smile to you

Oh, tomorrow night, the 24th, I'll be in Foxboro on the field standing in general admission front of stage for my 21st Bruce Springsteen show and my wife's 1st

Back to California Sunday,
Brad

August 23, 2023

Good evening, Zack. I wanted to send a huge thank you for the amazing cameo video you did tonight for Liam. It’s been a rough year and he has no clue about your cameo. I’m so excited to show him on Thursday. Thank you for being so involved with it. I can’t stand my kids having electronics but I’m so happy that they love watching your videos so much. You have no n idea how much you just saved his birthday this year. Thank you!  Safe travels and lots of hope that your enjoying the season as much as we are. Lots of love from Buffalo, NY

-Sara

August 17, 2023

Zack Ik your probably to busy to notice this message but thank you for showing love and confidence. I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now and you have been extremely inspiring to me and others! You show that confidence can make a difference when even if your in a pickle. But showing your confidence made me and my friends know that if you can do it we can too. We’re all human just doing human things and I’m extremely excited for you to get that NUMBER 100! And awesome job on getting the SPECIAL BALL

Even when you didn’t get the ball you just kept trying. I love it

-Connor

August 14, 2023

Every time my daughter gets a ball she lights up like she’s never seen one before, when a batted ball comes my way my heart beats as if i were in the game with a line drive hit my way. When i watch other kids get balls, the joy they exhibit is electric. I watched a grown man snag his first foul ball the other day and celebrate, no exaggeration, for 3 minutes straight. Anyone that doesn’t believe major league baseballs have magic in them has never got one or witnessed the magic.

You’re one of few people i know for sure understand the magic. Have a great second half to August hopefully both our teams pick up their s.

Joe

Also, question. Do you ever smell the baseball? I get judged by my wife for smelling the occasional baseball. She called me a ball sniffer lol

August 14, 2023

What’s up zack! I’m emailing to let you know that i’m a huge fan of what you do. I saw your documentary and it was amazing. I know sometimes you may get a bad rap, but i wanted to just tell you that there are a lot of people that respect what you do, including me. Well that’s all, Goodbye and Goodluck!

-Dominic

August 13, 2023

Hey Zack,

My name is Blake. I’m 19 years old and I’ve been a fan of you for awhile now. I am from a very small town in Saskatchewan Canada and it’s very difficult to travel to major league games. Today I caught my first Homerun ball in Winnipeg Canada at an American Association game between the Winnipeg Goldeyes and the Fargo-Moorhead Red Hawks.

As I said earlier, living in Saskatchewan, the closet MLB Park is Target Field in Minneapolis (which is a solid 13 hour drive). I wasn’t able to go to my first game until 2014 at the age of 11. I wasn’t able to go to another game until Game 5 of the ALDS in Toronto in 2015 (BEST GAME IVE EVER SEEN). At those ages, i never tried going after balls, since there were always younger kids who all got balls. A few years later I started watching your videos on YouTube, and now I’ve been to 10 out the 30 parks and catching 8 balls (all BP balls). You and your videos have inspired me to try to catch as many balls as I can.

Again, thank you Zack.

Sincerely,

Blake

August 8, 2023

Hi Zack! My son Brady loves watching your youtube videos on getting balls at stadiums. He's learned so much and has gotten many balls at the minor league Red Wings games he attends in our hometown Rochester NY. He wanted to go watch the Braves play at PNC to see all their all-stars play and he wanted to share with you that he was able to get 12 balls at the game last night! His favorite was getting a homerun ball that Acuna hit during BP. He went to this game for his birthday and since he gave away one of the balls that he got, he came home with 11 balls for his 11th birthday. :)

He said to tell you thank you for making fun videos for him and his friends to enjoy and asked me to send you a couple pictures. Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for your time in reading your fan mail.

-Rachel

Zack, my girlfriend and I just wanted to thank you one more time for being so generous and so down to earth to us when we spotted you outside Fenway park after the game. Thank you so much for signing my Tim Wakefield jersey. You made our whole night, we watch every video you make, when we watch your videos it’s like coming to the ballpark with you and for that we are so grateful. Would love nothing more than to one day join you at the ballpark and be a part of one of your videos one day, and have a blast with you. God bless. Sincerely Aaron and my girlfriend Rhiti.

Hello!

I’ve been a fan of the Detroit Tigers since I can remember and yet have only been to one game and have caught zero baseballs. I went to a game in July of 2016 at Comerica and got to witness a beautiful walk off home run by Jarrod Saltalamacchia, but I was in the nosebleeds and couldn’t have possibly caught a thing up there. I’ve watched your videos for the past four seasons and have longed to catch a baseball, even trying at multiple Toledo Mud Hens games but ultimately failing. I just graduated from high school this June and after rewatching your best videos I decided to buy tickets to 3 Tigers games this season to finally have a lifetime total! I got seats in the left outfield for an August 5th game against the Rays and an August 29th game against the Yankees. I also got 3rd base lower level seats on September 30th for Miguel Cabreras retirement ceremony, which I figure would be my best chance of seeing you at a game lol. I just wanna say to you that your videos are inspiring, you’re a very intelligent, generous, committed fan and one who I wish wasn’t so criticized. Thank you for helping me rediscover my love for the game, my fingers are crossed I’ll get to meet you at one of the games I go to. Judging by all of your videos at Comerica I’ll definitely be on the lookout for you at the standing room behind home plate just in case you’re there. Seriously thank you so much for spreading your love of the game to so many people, I’ll write back if I get some baseballs!

-Jacob

Hello there Zack. It is Dakota from Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore from July 15th the 2023 Baltimore Orioles Soccer Jersey Giveaway that you signed the baseball for with all of the signatures (I just watched that video on YouTube anyway) but on the baseball you signed on that day it was signed by Tim Cossins (Major League Field Coordinator/Catching Instructor), Joel “Yogi” Polanco, Ben Carhart, Dean Kremer, Kyle Bradish, and Tyler Wells. Then on July 19th against the Dodgers, I got it signed by Grayson Rodriguez, Kyle Gibson, and Yennier Cano. Also, Joel “Yogi” Polanco did give me the player lineup scorecard after the game as I was talking to you about me trying to get that from him. I want to say thank you again and it was a pleasure and an honor meeting you and I hope to see you in person again more at Oriole games. Hopefully our plans and schedules cross more times. I am also hoping to get the ball signed by Felix Bautista and Adley Rutschman.

Also, I just want to say thank you for being so friendly, nice cool, chill and generous

And making that day, so special for me way much more than it already would’ve been

July 27, 2023

Hey Zack, I’m a huge fan of your content and the culture that you have brought to the game of baseball. I have grown up watching your videos and aspire to meet you at a game, especially at Comerica park which is my home baseball park. My dad has been a season ticket holder since I was born (2007) for the tigers and we would love to have you out for a game, on us. Feel free to reach out to us about any game this season. Best wishes for the future!

btw; we have 4 seats in Section 130 Row 9 right next to the tigers dugout behind home plate

Hi Zack,I’ve been watching you on YouTube and I’ve always wondered where you go for all the balls you catch? Is there some sort of triangle? I’ve gotten three so far from Ronald Acuna jr and Adolis García and one from Luis Robert jr. I’m 12 years old and think you’re a great inspiration for kids who play baseball like me keep making videos and don’t stop. Oh, yeah and one more thing. I’ll be at globe life park in Arlington I live around 3 hours away on august 5th I’ll have a a dark blue Texas rangers hat that has Chapman and a dark blue jersey on hope I’ll see you sometime

July 25, 2023

Zack, u probably won't see this but like everyone else, I enjoy watching your videos and the amount of effort you put into your content. U have truly found your passion in life and keep going at it. Baseball is a timeless game and is the most interesting sport in all of the sports world, and you sir make it fun with your positive attitude, energy, and passion for the game of baseball. Last month I went to a Chicago White Sox game as I am a huge white Sox fan. During the game, I kept telling my friend "I am either going to get a baseball or a lineup card this game." Through every inning I was hungry to catch a tossup from Andrew Benetendi but his throw never found me. I never got a baseball that night sadly to keep my personal streak alive of trying to achieve 1 baseball a game. But! I never gave up hope on that lineup card! After the postgame firework show ended, I wandered down the steps toward the home run wall peering down to see if I could see it taped on a wall, but no luck.

A security guard was on the field, and I called to him asking "is there anyway I can get the team lineup card please?" Sure enough he said "yes" he walked down the steps under the bleachers and grabbed the card for me! It was a special card as it was on Lou Gehrig Day, and it had the watermark logo where the usual MLB logo was, along with nice writing on it, Miguel Cabrera's name, and I believe if my mind serves me correctly the tigers pitchers first rookie start. If it wasn't for me watching your videos, and seeing how you approach situations to potentially get souvenirs, I would have never gotten that amazing lineup card. With that I say thank you very much for everything you do, and keep doing what u r doing. You are not just a fan in those stands Mr. Zack Hample, you are a piece of history and nobody can come close to what you have accomplished personally in your baseball collecting!

-Johnathan

July 24, 2023

Zack as you know, I’m a fan of you. I asked Yogi for a ball the other day and the guy next to me asked “you’re not trying to be like Zack Hample are you?” I said yes I absolutely am and you should too, it’s really fun. I gave that ball to regular fan at the trop with cerebral palsy. It’s pretty hard for him to catch his own foul ball. I hope you’re doing well sir. Enjoy the cool air of the north, Florida is getting pretty warm.

Joe

July 17, 2023

Zack, seeing these media outlets pick fun at you in recent days has really struck a nerve with me, I never reach out like this but what you do for baseball and it’s fans are amazing, we love having you here at Camden yards. You and your videos gave me this great nostalgia of watching baseball with my grandfather when I was young. Keep doing what you love but I know you already do a great job ignoring the haters. Hope to see you at the yard one day cheers.

-Nick

July 7, 2023

Sorry about all these guys hating on you for no reason. I’m a huge fan and i’ve met you a couple times and you’re definitely the realest celebrity i’ve ever met. People say you ruin the fun for little kids but clearly in your vids, you give out like 50% of your balls. All the haters just mad that they don’t make a living out of something they love doing. Keep doing your thing bro.

-Kai

July 6, 2023

Dear, Zack
Not sure why just felt like emailing you and had a few questions. I’m 15 and live in dc long time o’s fan (guess not too long since I’m young but whole life)
And was just wondering if I were to ever see you at a game is it super obvious. Like if I were sitting behind home I’d it possible to see you scrambling around not sure why I’m asking just was curious. Also love the channel man the haters just don’t understand hate us cause they ain’t us.
Also I know Camden you favorite but all time what’s your favorite stadium that you went to that is now gone.
Hope you read this but anyway thanks for entertaining all your fans. Also love your don’t give a crap attitude about haters most people couldn’t take it.

Thanks and have a nice day,
TJ

July 3, 2023

Hey Zack!

I just wanted to say thank you for being so inspirational to me as a ball hawk I go to 7 or 8 games a year for about 7 or 8 years now and I used to always just wish that a ball would fall into my lap by accident up until a few years ago when I got addicted to your videos. They brought inspiration to me to try and go to a game and see if I could snag one. Turns out that I am now on a 17 game streak of getting baseballs and I have a lifetime total of 41 baseballs at 3 different stadiums creating new memories with my father. I give you all the credit in developing a new favorite hobby of mine that I love and keep so dearly to me. I don't care what anybody says Zack... you're a good dude, we need more people in the world like you.

Keep doing what you're doing,

Tommy- Ohio

July 3, 2023

Saw your recent video about the email from the guy in Florida. I’d have to agree with him. I met you at the all star game in Denver. You didn’t have to say hi or take a picture with me and 1,000 other people, but you did. I’ve been watching you for years and I always look forward to your videos (please keep them coming) and keep up the great work! Tom Brady was once asked by a kid how he handles the haters and he replied with “We love them” so Zack don’t let those internet trolls get to you!

-Brad

July 3, 2023

Hey Zack,

I'm stationed overseas and have been grinding your videos to pass the time. The last MLB game I attended was back in 2019, and since I discovered your content last year, it has gotten me amped to get back stateside and catch a game (and attend bp with my glove!). I recently went down a rabbit hole that led me to your blog entry from the Fort Bragg game. Sorry you had to deal with that. It's truly unfortunate people make assumptions without doing their due diligence (much like the fan who you engaged about arods 3000th hit who recanted his loathing of you on the spot after you hit him with the cold, hard facts. It's been great watching all of your content from the 90s home videos (love the nostalgia), your documentary, and everything in between. Keep doing you, man! Hope to see you at fenway or citi field some day. CPT Staffier, US Army

July 2, 2023

Hi Zack!

My son and I are huge fans of you. We go early to Tiger games and try to get baseballs. When, are you going to be at Comerica Park this year? I would love to buy you a slice of Little Caesars Detroit style pizza and Fenway Chris a beer.

Thank you.

-Steve

July 2, 2023

Dear Zack, you are the best. You always make my day. I love waking up and checking my phone to look if you posted any new videos. I love baseball and even more going to games. I don’t go to a lot of games but when I do I don’t want to leave. I also love to catch balls. I have learned a trick to get some extra ones. I will ask the players if they will play rock paper scissors for a ball or equipment. It has worked surprisingly well for me so I wanted to pass it on to you. Thanks for posting and making my day. Keep catching balls for us to see. Also do you think you could shout me out in a future video? If you do it will make my day! Hopefully I made yours!

Sincerely,
Chase

July 2, 2023

Hey Zack! I just started watching your channel again. I’ve been a viewer since 2015 but took a little break from lots of things. I just wanted to let you know how much you have meant to me over the years. Taking a trip down memory lane really made me feel good. It seems I am always happy when I watch your videos. With your energy, love, and kindness and baseball of course. It really hits the heart. I just wanted to thank you for making a big part of my childhood. I now have a streak of games I been to with at least 1 baseball. I hope I get to meet you one day and keep doing what you are doing because you really do bring out joy in people.

Thank You!

-Caleb

June 29, 2023

Hey , just found you on social media and went down a rabbit hole . Got to say what you do is really cool . I listen to baseball games almost every day in season in the AM  radio , don’t really have the means to go to the stadium but I can’t imagine what it takes to do what you do !

Anyway just wanted to say thanks for letting me see things from your perspective .

Hi zack,

I just recently suscribed to your awesome YouTube channel and I have to say, that your content and especially all the passion that you put behind it is so amazing.

Baseball over here in Germany is very small compared to soccer which is no thing around here. But i was always interested in it and your content just keeps growing my interest and passing for the great sport more and more !

So many thanks for that and keep up your Amazon work zack

All the best from Germany

June 27, 2023

Good Afternoon from England Zack. I hope this reaches you in good health.

I've been watching your videos for the past couple of years and have been following baseball for a little longer than that (I chose the Orioles to support when they were not so good)

Having just attended my first ever game this last weekend at the London Stadium I just wanted to say thank you. Your videos have always been very entertaining and it turns out great training as I'm 1 for 1 on ball to game ratio (a record that'll stay for some time)

Anyway, thank you again, keep doing what you do.

Ryan

June 26, 2023

Hi! My son was super excited to meet you at the orioles game and he even got brave enough to ask for your autograph. Which, coincidently, is on the ball you video a player teasing & throwing to him in the stands during BP. We thought that was pretty neat.

Also you commented back on his comment on the video you just posted and he was so surprised. Thank you for interacting with the kids like you do while you continue your passion.

-Angela

June 22, 2023

Hello Zack. My wife and I are currently in London celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and will be attending Saturday’s game. I would be honored to purchase your ballpark food for you and your videographer at the game (assuming you’re going) as I know you’re big on your ballpark food. I do not ask for anything in return and would just offer it as a means to support you and your channel. If interested, please respond to this email and hopefully we can meet up at the game. Looking forward to your video.

Regards,
Dallas

June 22, 2023

Hey Zack, I saw the video where you went to Beloit, Wisconsin minor league game. I was wondering if you ever considered going to CHS Field to see the St. Paul Saints [Twins AAA team].

They have a good fan base and rich history including a baseball museum inside the stadium. Greats like Daryl Strawberry, JD Drew, Leon Durham, and Kevin Millar used to play for the Saints back in the day. Me and my family recently went to a Saints game and saw Joey Gallo, down in the minors, playing left field and he hit a homerun to right. Me and family enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for your time and hope to see you there.

-Josh

June 21, 2023

Hi there! I'd like to tell you an amusing story today (June 21st, 2023) at Tropicana Field in St Petersburg Florida. Relaxing pre-game in my right field bleacher seat as I await the start of the Rays/Orioles game, I noticed a very polite, smiling, talkative and gracious young guy two rows in front of me. He was painstakingly signing autographs, taking pictures and conversing with the kids and adults alike, as if they were his next-door-neighbors. I must have witnessed over 50 passionate episodes all met with love and kindness. The kids jumped up and down. The teenagers said, "Dude! That's Zack Hample!" They knew who this guy was. I thought, this guy is a celebrity of sorts and what a pleasant outlook and kind gestures to all who approached.

Suddenly, curiosity got the better of me and I asked another fan, "Who is this guy?" A movie star I thought? After scurrying to Google, I found out his name is Zack Hample! Oh nice! I stated. Uh mmm... who is Zack Hample?

Oh! That's cool I uncovered. What a terrific passion and calling he has. I no longer want to be Mickey Mantle, I want to be Zack Hample!

As I read on, I discovered that some people were less than courteous. Well, it didn't take long for me to decide exactly what was the more accurate description of this young man. A few internet trolls or my own eyes.

I wanted to be part of the group too so I approached Zack and asked for a picture. I told Zack that I looked him up on Google and stated, "Some people just can't stand success huh? Been there Zack.” Zack shrugged his shoulders and replied with a Reggie Jackson quote, "Fans don't boo nobodies." Zack was happy to put his arm around me as my brother took our picture. A few more pleasantries and I politely gave way to another fan.

There sure aren't enough affable moments we have with others. Thank you Zack for doing your part for baseball and momentarily bringing back the little boy in me from 60 years ago. Zack, you are a credit to your profession and an asset to the community. I wanna be like Zack!

Folks, go to a ball game soon and hopefully you too will catch a ball...or run into Zack Hample.

JF-Florida

June 21, 2023

Zack thanks for being so friendly and taking a minute out of your day with me today. Great to meet you, you sincerely inspire me to live life with a younger heart. Enjoy your Florida trip, stay safe, I look forward to seeing you again one day.

June 21, 2023

Hi Zack Hample! Just like you, I collect baseballs and I watch all of your videos. I am 10 years old, I am a huge fan, and I would love to meet you. Every baseball game I go to, high school, college, minor league, or MLB, I always try to get a ball, and most of the time I do! I’ve collected a lot baseballs, but not as many as you. I would love to meet a baseball collector legend, and maybe try to learn a few tips and tricks! I hope that I will find you at an MLB game soon, and I would like to say hi!

Bye, Zack!
-Anders

May 29, 2023

Hey Zack I came up to you pretty early in the game today. Told you how I had been watching you since i was about 10-11. I’m 18 now. Just wanna say growing up as a big baseball guy, watching your videos have always excited me. Also just wanted to say I know you can get busy during these games and i would imagine pretty annoyed with people constantly coming up for pictures while you’re trying to watch for balls so thank you very much for taking time and giving a picture it meant a lot to me. Saw on twitter that you were at the game and got really excited and told my mom that we have to look for you so glad that worked out!

-Danny

May 24, 2023

I don’t know if you’ll ever see this, but you’re a huge inspiration. You live an incredible life that I admire. To be able to do what you do isn’t easy, but it’s more than worth it in my opinion. I hope to meet you one day. You’re truly incredible for the game of baseball and I wish there were more like you. But I also don’t wish there were more, because you’re so unique and that’s why you’re so special. Thank you for how honest you are. Thank you for being so open. Thank you for never allowing the kid in you fade away.

May 22, 2023

Hi Zack, I have all your books. I was recently in San Francisco, and was able to watch several games.
Can you recommend say, 4-5 books that I should buy, to improve my love of the game?

I am from UK, have Baseball for Dummies, Moneyball, and Baseball Road Trips. But would appreciate recommendations.

Many Thanks (Love your You Tube channel).

-Nick

May 22, 2023

Hey Zack, I’m a huge fan and I watch all your videos. I’m going to see the Rays soon and wanted to ask you if they allow ball retrieving devices like the cup trick. I love your videos and want to encourage you to keep it up.

-Truett

May 20, 2023

Hey man i love your videos, i go to a lot of games with my family and thought i was too old to take a glove, between you and my wife convincing me I’ve got 10 balls this season. The real reason i felt compelled to text you (through email) the kids meal at the Trop comes with a Dasani - i said what is this crap! and threw it on the ground in my aisle (then felt bad picked it up and put it in the cup holder) but the point is I’ll never drink that saltwater again!! Thank you! Let me know if you’re coming to Tampa Bay I’d love to meet you! You seem like my type of people, my wife wants to just move into your bookstore and smell the old books lol.

-Joe

May 18, 2023

hey zack, if you happen to read this, the hate against you is uncalled for, as a younger ballhawk who has grown up watching your videos, i can tell its not close to true. throughout the pandemic your videos helped me stay connected to baseball, so thanks. and they have taught me so much, of which ill use this Saturday at my first mlb game, yankees @ reds. i know a lot of other people have said this but, your community supports you!

Zack,

You don’t know me and yet you’ve been so generous to respond to my e-mails in the past.

I just want you to know I’m saddened by all the criticism being directed at you over the Cedric Mullins home run.

I don’t understand what exactly you did wrong.

You and your videos help me appreciate baseball more.

I want you to know I’m on your side and if I ever own a stadium, you will always be welcome in it.

P.S. My girlfriend and I visited the Argosy over the winter. It’s even cooler in-person

- Stephen

Hi Zack, I watched you catch Mullins Homerun today on MLBtv! I recognized your baseball glove and cap right away when you caught it. I watch your videos all the time and appreciate all your hard work and the help you have provided through your videos. It was really cool seeing you catch one live on TV! Wishing you an awesome season!

Hi Zack, my name is Dana, (I'm a guy) from Vancouver Washington a few hours from Seattle. One of my passions  is all different kinds of  stadiums, baseball parks have way more character though I love how you go out of your way to show many different views from all the stadiums you go too it's like your bringing us  with you and I really enjoy it.I really enjoyed your older ones with your pops and your half sister at Fulton county stadium, and the world series at Veteran stadium.I could really see that you got your love for baseball and filming memories from your pops as well.I can tell it's getting a little harder for you to do your thing as you get more famous, I hope you keep going to at least 20,000 career balls

May 5, 2023

Hey Zack I just wanted to come in here and say how much I enjoy your content man. I recently just watched the documentary about you and let me just say I feel bad you’re COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTOOD people who come at you for doing what you love Do not see the good in you. You’re being hated in for catching balls at stadiums for crying out loud I mean come on that’s ridiculous. Half the people who hate on you don’t watch the videos and see that you give away more balls than you keep. If another fan was in your position and you catch a ball that means a lot you’re going to keep it lol. Thanks for doing you man and keep up the content

-Dillon

May 1, 2023

Yo Zack

Love watching your videos, they are always great. Was wondering if you are going to Globe Life Field this year? If so, when? It would be so fun to come and see you. Wish you good luck this year.

Jonathan

April 26, 2023

Hey Zack. Not sure if you manage your own account but wondering if you do paid cameo type messages. My son (a AA baseball kid who absolutely adores you and has me working on having him experience every field in NA thanks to you) is about to turn 11 and I'd love to gift him a baseball/birthday themed message! Let me know and thank you.

*also, mom note - I'm so appreciative of you for being one of the good content creators for kids like my son.

-Nicole

April 22, 2023

Hey Zack, thanks for liking my message on your last post. As I said you’re a great guy and you do so much for the game of baseball. I have been watching your videos since I was a kid and I continue to support you. I am a memorabilia guy myself. I really respect the way you handle fans and block out the negative people. Keep doing you and hopefully I will see you in Miami for a Marlins game. I work for Bally Sports Florida and I have access to our private suite and various other tickets to every home game. Let me know if this is something you’d be interested in, if you are planning on coming down to Miami. Have a great season! Keep up the good work! - Dylan

April 16, 2023

Hey Zack, I’m a big fan of your YouTube videos, I don’t think you’ll see this but you never know haha. I’m from St. Louis and I’ll be at Busch Stadium on May 2nd. Were you planning on going to that game?

April 13, 2023

Hi Zack I don't know if you see this or read this but I saw your movie I must say you sir are an amazing person keep up the great work fuck the negative bastards love your videos hope to be able to meet you one day.

-Paul

April 12, 2023

Zack,

It was great meeting and hanging out you Monday and today. Thank you for taking the picture with my mother. I will have to take my twin 5 year old girls to a game that you’re at this year (we travel a lot). They are starstruck that grandma got to meet “Zacky Hample”, the name they have given you from watching your videos.

Mission accomplished on the umpire ball commemorative ball. I had no issues with the ushers but I do sit behind home plate a fair amount and have plenty of old screenshot tickets to flash if questioned lol.

Lastly, I was serious when I asked you about your e-commerce offerings on Monday.

If you ever have any ideas/desires on further developing your online store greater than you already have along with interactive strategies for your subs I would be more than happy to explore this with you. I am typically pretty busy with my existing e-commerce brands but can always make time when it comes to this shared passion that we have.

I look forward seeing you another time. I know how busy you are and how many people you are lucky enough to meet, but let’s stay in touch.

Best regards,
Brian

Hi Zack, I hope you are doing well! My name is Luca, I’m 24 and I’m from Milan, Italy. I’m a college graduate in communication and I’m now following a master program in sports communication. I reach out to you first and foremost to say that you’ve been a huge inspiration for me in life for quite some time. I’ve been labeled as the “strange” guy, as you mentioned in your documentary since I was little because of my hobbies and I’ve written for websites about baseball and football in english (sports not very popular in Italy) for a lot of years and I’m working to find my place in this world. Your videos and your passion have always helped me to reflect on myself and are so well made that even if I’m on the other side of the earth you make me feel like I’m at stadiums with you, helping me live the ballpark life that I really love (I’ve been to the US and in NYC a couple of times and went to Yankee Stadium and Citi Field). My dream and goal is to come to the US one day and work in content creation and sports, preferably baseball and if you would ever be in need for an intern for whatever reason, it would be an absolute honor to make the trip across the ocean and collaborate, work alongside you. I feel like it would be an experience that could change my life and help me follow my dreams. I hope you’ll be able to read this one day, meanwhile I wanna thank you for all you’ve done for me through your content. Enjoy the rest of the baseball season Zack, I’ll continue support and follow your amazing content.

-Luca

April 9, 2023

Hey Zack!

I hope you're having a grand opening week(s) of the baseball season! I recently got season tickets to dodger stadium, and I would like to know if you're going to any games this season and when? I admire you a lot and I want to know the tips on how to get baseballs so easily. Thank you so much.

Hopeful for a response,
Evan

April 9, 2023

Hi Zack, been a huge fan for a number of years, all the way from the UK. It's been a huge pleasure watching your journey. You are an inspiration to people wanting to follow their dreams and love how well you look after the kids when you have spare balls to give out. I often think you are misunderstood and dislike the negative attention you get.

-Gary

April 5, 2023

Hey Zack-

Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to allow me to take a picture with you at the Yankees game. I appreciate you being so kind. My son and I watch a lot of your videos and always enjoy them. He was too shy to come up to meet you, but then thought it was cool that you took the picture with me.

Have a great day!

Brian

April 5, 2023

Zack,

Hey I stumbled upon your videos on YouTube here recently. I have really clung to the ones where you are in your Angels gear. I grew up attending baseball games at the BIG A. I got autographs from players like Brian Downing, Wally Joyner, and even got one from Reggie Jackson when he was an Angel. I always wanted to catch a ball at a game, but alas never was able to. The next time you’re in the Big A could you give me a nod on your video? If not I understand, but keep doing what you’re doing! Have fun!

Dear Zack Hample,

I have watched your videos for years and love the sport of Baseball, i’m a die hard Yankees fan and I have the privilege of seeing them this year 3 times! once in New York and one Against the Dodgers and Angels. Are you planning on going to any games in that series and if not you definitely should go me and many other of your fans would love to see your point of view at the game.

Thanks, Go Yankees

March 15, 2023

Hi Zack my name is Brady and I’m a DIEHARD baseball fan and a huge fan of you I really just wanted to say how much of an inspiration you are to me you made me more confident in myself in baseball and going to baseball stadiums and getting baseballs But I just want to say keep on going and not let any hate take you down because confidence is the answer man that’s how you got 12,000 baseballs! I have one huge question can I please have one of your baseballs I’m almost to my 15th baseball I’m trying to build my collection like you and I propose a trade if I give you the most realistic baseball drawing I can draw can I have an autograph on the baseball? That would be absolutely mind blowing if I got your autograph it probably won’t happen but but just like my mom says life isn’t fun if you don’t give it chances so that’s why I am doing this! I hope you have a great rest your day and I hope you enjoy the baseball season!!!

Zack, I just wanted to acknowledge all the unnecessary attacking and hurtful comments I have seen about you that we’re not fair or right. I just want to tell you that your content is very much enjoyed by people including myself and outside of that hatred. Keep making great content!

Hi Zack, I wanted to reach out to you and let you know about my mom. She has dementia and is on hospice care. Your videos on Youtube is very calming for her. She loves watching you and talks and waves to you on the screen. I wanted you to know that you are truly making her end of life happier.

Thank you!

Zack,

I just wanted to tell you that I saw  “Zack Hample Vs. the World” recently. I related to your story more than I could ever tell you. At several points I found myself absolutely weeping. It struck a profound chord with me. I know how hard it is to make a documentary film, and I’m so glad that that one came to fruition. I don’t know how any human being is capable of feeling any sort of hatred towards you. I’m so sorry that this world is so full of miserable people who can’t find a way to make themselves happy. It seems that you’ve managed to do just that. You’ve carved out your own niche. You’ve made your own space in the world, and other people seem to just be intensely jealous and envious of that. I suppose that’s what stirs up so much hatred. What a sad world we live in. Please continue to be yourself. My wife and I hope to meet you at Citizens Bank Park (or any other park) one day. You’re AWESOME! - John

Hi Zack,

I am from Australia I am 21 years old I started watching your videos a couple of years ago as I was intrigued with the entire sport of baseball as it isn't prominent in  Australia.

Your videos have got me so interested in the sport and in your story in general. I have watched your documentary Zack Hample Vs The World and I saw that you collected business cards aswell.

If you would be interested I would love to send you my business card for your collection. It would mean a lot to me.

If you have a PO Box or such please let me know I'd love to send one.

PS I'm planning on making a trip to the USA in the next year or too and watch some baseball games.

I would love to see you and grab a picture.

Much Love from a fellow eccentric from down under.

Thanks,
Aidan

December 31, 2022

Dear Zack,

I just wanted to thank you for all that you do. Without you, I probably wouldn’t be into baseball, and I certainly wouldn’t be a fellow ball hawk. Because of you, my last two summers have been filled with fun adventures, new friends, and a boatload of baseballs. Ball hawking truly gives me a feeling of happiness and excitement like no other. Whether I’m at games running around like crazy, at home testing new retrieval devices, or sitting on the couch watching your videos new and old. I seriously can’t express how thankful I am for you, and as long as you keep at it, I’ll be sure to follow along.

Sincerely,
Ayden

December 30, 2022

I recently got tickets for the orioles @ tigers game on either april 29th or 30th. Keep up the good work!!

December 28, 2022

Hello Zack,
I was wondering if you could please share with me how you got your name stitched onto your baseball glove? I want to have mine nicely done like yours and was hoping you could steer me in the right direction? I absolutely love your work and enjoy your videos so much! Thank you for your time,
Shannon

December 21, 2022

Hey Zack, just wanted to thank you for helping me getting into baseball. I'm from Germany and fell in love with the sport while on a trip to the US. Your videos and content at all gives me the opportunity to stay in touch with MLB and making it approachable!

November 26, 2022

Dear Mr Hample,

I usually don’t reach out to celebrities, but I figured is worth the shot if it will make a little girl Christmas wish. She’s 14 years old, loves loves everything baseball and is a big fan of yours. So much so, that she added in her Christmas wish list that she would love one of your T-shirts and the hopes of meeting you some day. She’s a great girl and I want to give her something special this Christmas that I know she’ll treasure forever. If it’s not too much to ask and if possible. Can I get a personal note from you made out to Leila via email. That I can attach to her gift.

Thank you and Happy holidays to you and your family!

Maria

November 20, 2022

Yo Zack because of you I finally got my first balls from a game using your tips! I got 4 balls in 4 games. The crazy thing is they were all at different stadiums too! Thank you so much Zack!

-Lucas

November 16, 2022

I have to give credit where credit is due. My nine-year-old is a baseball fanatic, Angels fan. He would literally paparazzi players to get signatures, nice but obnoxious yelling to his fave players! He began watching you nonstop and how you interacted with the players and how they would give you balls. The last game we went to we were right behind the field MVP box and players were taking his helmet over the VIP guests and signing it because he was so polite and respectful. David Fletcher even threw him The ball from the final out of the inning. So thank you for instilling ballpark manners in my son.

-Lissa

November 8, 2022

Hi Zack,

My name is Joseph. I love to watch baseball and I love to watch your channel. I love how you run around getting so many baseballs. During the summer, my dad took me and my brother on a road trip. We visited 10 stadiums. Yankee Stadium, City Field, Fenway Park, Citizens Bank Park, Comerica Park, Rogers Centre, Progressive Field, Great American Ball Park, Busch Stadium, and PNC Park. It was so much fun. Believe it or not, I caught 15 baseballs. We plan on visiting each stadium just like you. Also, for anyone who hates you, they're wrong.

Thanks and good luck.

November 1, 2022

Hey Mr. Hample! Morning, my name is Carlos, from Mexico.
I’m a new follower and I’d like to thank you for making those awesome videos in the ballparks.
Next year, around April/May, I’m planning to visit the loanDepotPark in Miami.
I hope to be able to catch a ball, it will be my first time in a MLB game.
I’ll be watching your videos an checking new stuff here on IG.

Gracias!

October 23, 2022
Subject: Loved the Documentary!

Mad respect. Question...when you make a BP catch and give the ball to a kid, do you still count it? Or do you count only balls you keep?

I am a 45 year old Dad to 2 beautiful little girls (7, 3) and hope to do some ball hawking at Target Field when they are a bit older.

Thanks!

-Chad

October 21, 2022

Hey Zack,

Been following you for a while but just watched your movie for the first time. I just wanted to offer a bit of encouragement and say I’m on your side. Keep doing you’re thing and highlighting the joy of baseball. Anyone that gives you crap is just jealous that they don’t get to catch baseballs for a living. If anyone is as truly honest they would admit that’s their dream. Have fun!

-Patrick

October 10, 2022

Hi Zack,

I am your biggest fan . I just bought some of your merch . Who do you want to win the world series

from your fan ,

Will

October 6, 2022

Zack , you are the GOAT fr , all the hate on u are from weirdos , if they got to see you in person and not from the popular perception they would know who you really are , you are what inspired me to start collecting game used items , and now i have 10 game used steelers jerseys , a few balls , helmets , gloves , etc , w/o seeing your videos i would have never discovered my favorite ( and most expensive) hobby

-Jack

October 5, 2022

You rock Zack! I’ve been a pretty big fan for close to 30 years and I’ve become an even bigger fan through watching your videos. Really appreciate the time you put into it all and hope to randomly run into you some day!

-Drew

October 5, 2022

-Lucas

September 27, 2022

Hey Zack, you are a great man. I don’t know why all of these assholes are harassing you. Maybe I don’t understand because I have Austism. But still, you are a great man. You are funny, smart, and happy. They are all just jealous because they are not like you. Keep up the great work.

-Christian

September 27, 2022

hey, i dig that you’re a part of baseball, you bring eyes on the game and get people talking. i hope you don’t give the haters too much mind (the fort bragg thing was bs..our taxpayer dollars can fund their entire military industrial complex and send how many folks over how many decades to die in how many pointless wars…but you’re the dick for attending a ball game?!) i hope you keep catching big ones and stay around for years! also, as a yankee fan, thanks for sticking it to a-rod, you shoulda held out for more!

-Brian

September 26, 2022

Zack,

I recently came across you when you had that whole fiasco with Stroman, leading me to your YouTube page and I’ve become such a big fan! I think that it’s really easy in this day and age to dislike someone just because that’s the popular public opinion. I’ve seen a lot of hate for you online and I think that it’s certainly unreasonable for the most part. I find what you do to be inspiring because you do what you love and unapologetically. Shit, if my job was to go to baseball games and make content I wouldn’t complain about a thing because that sounds like the life man! You’ve made such a huge impact in the baseball community, whether people like you or not, they certainly can’t deny that. I think your content is super enjoyable and im currently watching your old vlogs like the one where you went to Aruba because I’ve finished all your baseball videos. I live in NY too and I loved your vlog about your day to day life living in the city, you got a sweet apartment man!

Keep up the good work man, can’t wait to see what the future has in store. Hopefully you can catch Judges 62 homer!

-Ryan

September 24, 2022

Zack, big fan here, I just wanted to say, ignore them haters man. Your content is through the roof amazing, and I love every single ounce of energy that you put into it. If you enjoy doing youtube and snagging those balls, then do it. Who cares what others think? Go out there and do what you do man.

-Gibby

September 24, 2022

Hi Zack......just watched your documentary by Jeff Siegel.....l must say it was very very well done and entertaining. You do get a lot of hate because of what you do. I say F em all..... you do what you wanna do. That's been your life and life's passion....well, getting in the majors was your life's dream but you're still involved in MLB ...kinda.... You keep doing what you're doing..... thank you for the movie....two thumbs up....

-David

September 23, 2022

Ever since I started watching your videos on different techniques and tactics on how to score a baseball during a game, I have become obsessed with trying to score one. Channeling my inner Zack Hample during the LA vs AZ game, I was able to catch a HR from batting practice. I was so happy to finally catch one. Thank you for all the great videos and content you produce. I now know the feeling that you get when you catch a baseball. Keep up the great work. You have way more fans out there than haters. Good luck on Pujols’s 700 if you are chasing it.

-John

September 23, 2022

Hey zack, hope all is well. Sorry to see all these people trynna spread bad untrue accusations towards you. I remember in 2019 at the London series game you stopped what you where doing twice for me once to sign a ball and the second time so I could get a photo as I didn't have my phone on me the first time. I knew you where busy filming but you still took the time to talk. Not sure if you remember much of the day as it's been a long time since but was great meeting you keep strong buddy.

-Alex

September 22, 2022

I feel like you’ve been catching more flack lately than ever bud. I am sorry, but please keep up what you do and enjoy life. People just love tearing others down, it’s the national pastime now over baseball. You keep it up, you bring a lot of fun to going to baseball games for a lot of kids. You do a lot more good than what these people can say is bad. It’s funny, people saying you knock kids over is like people saying Bigfoot is real they bring out some grainy photo to make their case with no background, no context but it happened!! I just worry about people’s mental health, and don’t want you to get down on yourself. You are doing good things, remember that.

-Matthew

September 22, 2022

September 22, 2022

Hey! I just wanted to say thank you. My son Evan was out in CA for some drs appts and he met you last night. You are his favorite person to watch on youtube. You made his whole trip!!! Thanks for being so kind to him and giving him a ball.

-Leanne

September 21, 2022

I was going to email you in the offseason to thank you for the escape your videos give me from my crippling depression but with all the unwarranted lies and hate you're getting right now i wanted to reach out and let you know i care about you! I have 1 Chihuahua 1 Family Member and 0 Friend's. I'm trapped in a terrible situation that would take too long to explain. My main goal from this is to make you feel better by letting you know that YOU make ME feel better. Being distracted and feeling like i'm at a ballpark doesn't solve my problems but it keeps me from being overwhelmed by them and wishing i didn't exist. When its Me VS The World and my own brain its torture. You've mentioned mental health in multiple videos this year and i hope you're holding strong. I have to fight my own brain by saying nice things to myself and what nice things i'm going to do ( Like visit Kauffman Stadium someday ). Positive self talk does help so if you need some ammo tell yourself you're helping people like me with 1 Chihuahua ( my pic on youtube ) 1 Family Member and 0 friends push through life. Thank you Zack! I will write you this offseason! You're a force for good in baseball! Fenway Chris did nothing wrong... The Banana's are fricking WILD! Adios Amigo!

September 21, 2022

Hey Zack just wanna say I'm a huge fan and fuck all your haters straight up keeping on doing you brother everyone hating on you because they can't make there living like you do and if they actually watched your videos instead of going off of what people say they would know that you actually give most of the baseballs you get to the kids and even take pictures with them and autographs Thank You for being the person you are for many people who look for happy Ness and find happiness watching your videos.

-Sean

September 19, 2022

Hey Zack - heard about you a while ago and just watching your movie on YouTube. Also realized I was at the game last week when you were in Toronto. As a lifelong baseball fan … my little league team was a game away from making it to the little league World Series ! … I think what you do is cool as FU$K!! I can’t believe after watching your movie you’ve had to go through what you’ve gone through. Anyhow I’ve never caught a baseball at a stadium but I think I’m going to start taking my glove again :)

-Alejandro

September 19, 2022

Hey Man. I just got into watching your videos and they're awesome! It's so cool to see your passion for the game! It's made me get back into enjoying baseball again, keep up the awesome work dude and ignore the haters! Hopefully you make your way back to Camden Yards again and we can catch a game! Cheers dude!

September 18, 2022

Hey Zack, I just watched your most recent YouTube video on Aaron Judge and Albert Pujols. Just wanted to let you know that burnout is a real thing and to do what’s best for you mentally, brother! I love your videos, you are part of the reason as to why I fell in love with baseball again after I took a hiatus from it. Keep doing what you are doing and block out the haters. You have a lot of kids and people who look up to you and you are good for the sport! Cheers my friend.

I just finished watching your documentary. You're such an interesting person I love it. I hope you're enjoying Toronto. I just became a baseball fan this yr because of shohei ohtani. I stumbled upon a YouTube video of yours and I just fell deep in wanting to learn about you. I think it's so cool what you do.

September 13, 2022

Hey Zack! I just watched your documentary and I wanted to say it was awesome! You are truly an inspiration and living proof that you can do anything you set your mind to! Thank you for all you do and the impact you leave!

Dear Zack,

My name is Cameron and I’m 16 from Indiana. As we both know, you have received quite a bit of unnecessary hate over the past few months. I never understood why such a kind and generous man could be hated. You give balls to fans!!!!! This video made me so upset knowing that you would probably give balls to these kids if they were near you at a game. [URL redacted]

To sum things up, Zack, you’re awesome and inspire me so much. We are very similar people as well. We both hate Dasani, we both love baseball, to eat, and to get attention from athletes. Thank you for all you do Zack.

Hope all is well,
Cameron

Hey zack I caught my first baseball today at loan depot park in miami, I actually just missed you as I was there a few days after Jake Paul and yourself was there but just wanted to let you know you were my inspiration to catching a baseball today. I dint think it was going to happen but I brought my glove and got a toss up from the dugout before the game even stared ! Thanks for everything and hope to hear back from you
From your supporter corey !

September 10, 2022

Zack,

Hope your are well. My son Jackson, 10 really enjoys baseball and watching your You Tube channel. We saw what happened to you at Coors Field. Last night I had a strange encounter with security that resulted being pushed back from having the Cron HR.

My son says hello and keep on being awesome man.

Hey Zack! Firstly I’d just like to say thank you, I recently went on holiday to NYC (I’m from England) unfortunately I couldn’t get to a baseball game but I have found a soft spot for the Mets, hoping to return another time to watch a game but I’ve been binging all your videos on YT the last week and I absolutely love them, you’ve really inspired me to follow baseball. I’m really hoping I can get to a game, potentially meet you and get a baseball of my own!

-Jamie

September 8, 2022

Just watched Zack Hample vs. The World. Incredible documentary. You’re an amazing person. My son and I met you when you were in Seattle a few years back and you were kind enough to stop, take a picture with him and autograph a baseball (which he still has). Wanted to say thank you and keep up the incredible work you do.

-John

September 9, 2022

Zack,

Love your videos!!! Been to your family’s bookstore many times. I was watching you today and I was thinking now that they have these really small video cameras, i.e. insta360, could you attach it to the web of your glove so we could see the “Glove Cam”. Watch the ball come right to you.

I’m 56, I live in Connecticut I’m a Red Sox fan, thanks Gramps, and I know you won’t understand my next sentence, but I’ve never been to Fenway, I’ve seen the Mets and Yankee at their stadiums, but never got to Fenway, my grandfather never got to see them win a World Series, he was a fan for 70 years. I’ve seen the Patriots a 100 times, but it just never worked out for Fenway. Maybe I’ll see you there one day.

Finally Zack I wanted to let you know to keep doing your thing, despite the haters. I know you catch a lot of grief, but seeing all these young people, trying to snag balls like you, or get your autograph. I love the parents faces when you give their little ones a ball. People think you’re bad for the game, but I believe you have one of the biggest, if not the biggest positive influence on MLB, by a fan.

Take care,
Jeff

September 8, 2022

I just watched your movie. It was excellent. I think what you do is fascinating. You are the only baseball content I watch, besides the World Series, of any kind. I struggle to sit through an entire ball game, but watching you enjoy what you do and your passion for the game is extremely inspiring and entertaining.

Screw the haters. Keep doing what your doing. I look forward to your videos and can't wait to watch you catch your 100th game home run.

-Ken

September 8, 2022

Zack I just watched your movie. I can’t believe how people treat you. I just want you to know that I think you’re a great person. Keep doing what you’re doing and forget the haters!! Been a fan for a long time and I look forward to new videos!

-Brad

September 7, 2022

Hi Zack! Keep up the great work! What you are doing is bringing another level for fans to love the game of baseball. To get to know the players and interact with the game. (From the pitchers hand, to the bat and then to your glove.)

My sons birthday is coming up and we sit down as a family to watch your videos. Any chance we could have you sign a baseball for us? No worries if not. Thanks for the content and thanks for helping my son fall in love with the game we love so much!

-Shawn

September 7, 2022

My son wants to know if you ever go to Nats stadium and when you’ll be at an Orioles game again? I am going to request get a cameo from you for his 8th bday coming up! He is constantly watching your videos. We have used lots of your tricks at the stadium and he has gotten a ball at almost every game he has been to so far!!

-Jenna

September 7, 2022

Hey Zack just watched the movie and it was amazing. The things you do make me love the game of baseball even more. I’m so happy that I got to meet you when you came up to Seattle for Ichiro Mariners hall of fame induction. Let me tell you when I first got into that stadium I ran around just trying to look for you. So thanks for that memory I’ll never forget. And the movie made me want to go to more baseball games next year so thanks for all you do. Also we need you and Fenway Chris up here in Seattle if the Mariners make it.

Thanks for all you do,
Landen

September 6, 2022

Hi Zack!

I understand you get a lot of emails/messages and you probably can’t respond.  That is OKAY!  If you read this, that will mean just as much to me.  I am not really sure where to start.  First, I knew who you were from Youtube, and I was “indifferent”.  I didn’t love or hate ya.  Didn’t have any thoughts one way or another.  Then I watched your movie and that all changed.  I myself relate to you SO many ways.   Let me divulge.

About me?  I’m close to your age, I am 42 (43 in November).  I am from Indiana but am a HUGE Oakland A’s fan (ever since I was a kid and the bash brother days).  I remember watching the World Series when the Earthquake hit!  I too lost my father when I was young (I was 6).  So I didn’t have that figure in my life growing up to play catch with, go to ball games etc.  But I managed on my own when I was older haha.  I too had almost a bus full of people attack and make fun of me when I was a kid.  I played baseball up to High School and I got cut because I had pneumonia in my left lung during tryouts so I was unable to make the team and that was the end of my “career”.  That’s a little of a mixed bag of my childhood, but I wanted to share how much I related to you!  I too have “collections” of things.  I have a huge video game collection in which I also have a small business on Ebay (I don’t make much, it’s more of the “doing what you love” part.  I love the hunt of the games at garage sales, thrift stores etc. which I am probably “addicted” too lol.  I’ve gotten heat for this (in now way the same as you – but again, just a relatable concept) that I am taking all these games from these places and not making a profit on them etc.  But its PUTTING THE TIME in for what you love!  I know where to go, when to go, what to pay etc.  It’s something we LEARN from doing it for years!

Fast forward to now.  As I mentioned I am a lifelong and huge A’s fan.  I’ve seen them a couple times at more “local” venues (Cleveland, Detroit etc.).  But never been out to Oakland (costs etc.).  And I am able to live through you and your videos lol.  I know their stadium is crap but your video when you were there made me feel like I was there!  It was such an awesome experience for me!  I wanted to touch on that and your videos because I think they are amazing!

As mentioned above about the video games.  Like you, it’s something we do because we LOVE it.  I would die to go out to Oakland someday despite the crappy stadium because it’s MY team.  There is tons and tons of history there!  I probably won’t make it before they get a new one (or move).  That said, who knows as long as it’s been so far, it may be another 10 years before anything happens out there.

Anyways Zack, I just wanted to share my story with you and say a couple things.  I think you are an amazing awesome person!  If I could give any advice, I would say you “DO YOU”.  Do what you LIKE, do what you LOVE!  Whatever makes YOU happy!  I too have had relationships and am single now.  I’m not really looking BUT the right person will come along if/when it is right.  Don’t ever change you for someone else.  The minute you do that, you lose everything you worked for!  Also, the negative people and comments.  Unfortunately you’re gonna get that being in the position you’re in.  99% of those people wouldn’t say that shit if they weren’t behind a keyboard.  I know it probably and understandably gets to ya and I am not telling you anything you don’t know.  A thick skin is a good skin.  Just brush them off and move on.  You know who your friends are, you have friends and that’s all that matters.

Thanks again for all you do!  And thanks for such an amazing story that I can relate to in SOO many ways.  This is a very rare or odd thing for me to write something like this and send to someone lol.  But it just touched me and made me feel like I had such a strong connection that I had to!  Since I am out here in the middle of nowhere (in terms of baseball) I doubt we will ever meet.  But IF I ever get that chance, I will definitely say hello and thank you!

Good Luck on all your goals and future endeavors!

Take care
Dustin

Zack,

My name is Stephen. I just watched Zack Hample vs The World and I am an even bigger fan of yours now.

I hope the negativity and the haters never get to you. You are great ambassador for baseball and clearly passionate about the game.

I hope you'll continue ball hawking and attending baseball games for as long you enjoy it.

I'm rooting for you to get 200 game home run balls!

Thanks

-Stephen

September 6, 2022

Hey Zack! I am a big fan of yours and I saw on your website that we can just email you! I really want to meet you, but not sure how. Also, I built my own glove trick. It works really well. I would like to see you in 2023. Probably Busch Stadium most likely. I just really wanted to email you to see if you would respond. Good luck on catching many more baseballs!

-Matthew

September 6, 2022

Hey Zack, just watched the documentary. Very touching and a great message. I want you to know that I will always be a supporter of you. Keep having fun with baseball. Your videos make my day. Connor

September 5, 2022

Zack,
I grew up a baseball fan. My Dad was a baseball fan. I played through High School and followed the game for many years. After my Dad passed away I bit by bit quit following.

About a year ago I started watching YouTube videos and eventually found your channel. There is something about your passion that I found so fun. My favorite thing you do is show us the different stadiums.

I got interested in the game again. Went to a game this summer and had a blast.

So thanks for sharing your journey. Feed off the positive energy and forget the other stuff.
Thanks
Mark

September 5, 2022

Hey dude I just had to message you to say I think what you do if so cool, I truly just do not understand the hate you get on social media. If only people would actually watch even just 1 video they would see you giving nearly every ball you get to a kid lol, I met you in cinci 5 years ago at a reds game and it was so cool, I was 15 at the time. You were truly one of the nicest people. Keep doing what you do man!

-Brandon

What’s up Zack? My name is Cash! I just wanted to let you know that I’m a big fan and I actually have a friend that was in one of your videos! What’s the next game you’re going to watch?

Hi, Zack,

You likely know “King of JUCO” Youtube channel…Eric Sim (150k+ subs). It’s the channel that does all that crazy pitching versus hitting content, and pitcher Trevor Bauer is a regular guest. Here’s one of his videos.

He was asked on his Twitch channel if he would ever have Zack Hample collab on his channel and he said “Hell ya!” He mentioned that you’re “good for baseball”, especially to promoting the sport to kids, and welcomed you to contact him. He said “us fellow youtubers stick together”. He said he could have you to his facility when you are in the area…I have no idea where his facility is…the one in the video above.

So, I wanted to mention this to you as an off-season or in-season opportunity. Up to you though. He is on twitter with DMs activated but you may have a way to contact him though Youtube.

I’m a fan of your channel and just wanted you to know of this possibility. Thank you, Zack, for your content.

Sincerely, Steve

Hello Zack! My name is Amy and I am from North Carolina. My husband came across your Yankees video. He asked me what year we went and I said 1996. He what month. I said I believe August. He continued to watch your video as he remembered that Daryl Strawberry hit 3 homeruns that game. You see, we saw 5 baseball games in 5 days at 5 different stadiums with our family. Our 36 and 38 year old niece and nephew were 8 and 10. This is SO cool!! Thank you for posting. God bless you and your family.

Good afternoon Mr. Hample

Hopefully your have a wonderful day and a weekend coming up.

I want to thank you for all your education and teaching me how to get baseballs at a game.

I went to a minor league game in Nashville Tennessee where I live. I want to say I got 4 baseballs during the night. 3 got from players and one 3rd out ball in the bottom of the 5th inning. Also go them signed and want to thank you again. I get tickets Nashville Sounds from my work. Maybe we can get you out here and do a yourtube video with them. Its a great stadium and great city.

God bless and have a great weekend.

-Brian

September 1, 2022

Zack,

First of all, I want to offer you my support. You have been taking a lot of flak recently, so I thought I would let you know not everybody is out there to attack and insult you. I met you personally at a game in Houston on May 24th this year. You were kind to me and made some time to sign a ball for me. My perspective is biased, since I am a fan of yours and watch your videos. However, I feel like I am able to take a fair enough look at the situation and let you know what I think.

Recently, you posted two videos you made while at Coors Field for games against the Cardinals on August 10th and 11th. I watched both of the videos and felt like you had been wronged by the stadium employees of the Rockies. I am from Colorado and am a fan of the Rockies, so it felt bad seeing them treat you the way they did. For the game on the 10th, I believe you when you say you did not enter a restricted area to grab the Nolan Arenado home run that flew into the left field tunnel. My understanding is that you reached under the gate (that was not all of the way closed) and grabbed the ball. Assuming this is correct, I fail to see why security made such a big deal about it and made you give the ball back. That was wrong of them and they should be ashamed.

Unfortunately, the game on August 11th presented an uglier scenario. I know you deleted the video from Youtube, but I understand why. I read your interview with 5280 (which I felt portrayed you unfairly) and my interpretation is you are just trying to lower the heat. I agree with what you said in the video to the usher, when you explained that people are going to chase after home run balls. You did not run over or hurt anybody, so I can’t understand why the usher took it so personally. Additionally, when the supervisor came over, I thought you rightfully pointed out that they were making rules up just for you and not enforcing the “rules” for other fans.

After viewing the videos, I wrote an email to the Rockies. I was professional but made it clear that they were unwarranted with their actions and behavior towards you. I also told them I have experienced similar issues to you recently, where the ushers and security employees seemed to make up rules on the spot and exercise power over fans for the sake of it. I have not received a response at this time and do not expect to, based on how much the whole situation has blown up.

I don’t expect you to respond to my email, though I did appreciate it when you responded to my email from earlier this year thanking you for your kindness at the Astros game. I understand that you need to be careful at this time, since there is so much hate being hurled your way from, quite frankly, awful people on the internet (and probably in person as well). I know my email is long winded, but I just wanted you to get a positive email/interaction from somebody, as I know people have said horrible things about and to you. Zack, I don’t know you personally, but from what I can tell based on my personal experience, your videos, and your actions (like giving back A-Rod’s 3,000th hit baseball for a charitable donation), I believe you are a good person. You might be different and do things differently from most people, but you obviously care about others and want to do the right thing. Stay strong and keep enjoying the game of baseball!

Sincerely,
Thomas

September 1, 2022

Hey Zack my name is carsten I saw your tweet that you got an Ichiro ball at the game in seattle I am the one who asked when you were coming to seattle I was suprised you made it out here so fast I am sad I missed you but if you come to seattle next year I hope to see you I know the dodgers are coming next year, anyway I am wondering if you found out about the ichiro thing from me or not any way I hope you had a great time and keep up the good work!

August 31, 2022

Hey Zack I love your videos they are always entertaining. I also want to say just ignore the people hating on you. They are just overreacting. You are a really nice and funny person. I know this because every where you go people are excited to see you. Keep it up, and don’t let the haters bother you.

-Adrian

August 31, 2022

Fun competing tonight! Looking forward to seeing how 12k comes about. Again, thanks for being you! If you took fan balls I’d give you one of mine from tonight and sign it!

For real though, as a 31 year old woman, I have felt insecure about this hobby in the past but I love it. Ive spent most of my time abroad the last few years but when I’m stateside this is too much fun. When we are in our joy it’s good for everyone. I believe that! Thanks for modeling it.

-Gabi

August 31, 2022

Hey Zack there’s no way you’ll probably see this or respond, but just wanted to let you know that I’ve seen all of the people trying to bash you on Twitter in the last couple of days and I just wanted to let you know that I respect your love for that game and everything you do, you always give back the balls you catch to the kids, making life long baseball fans in the process so just keep ignoring the hate man, I always enjoy a good Zack Hample video at night when I’m in bed.

-Haynes

August 31, 2022

Hey Zack, I first want to say that I love your videos. You seem to be getting a lot of bad attention for a bullshit reason. You’re a good dude, you paid to get to games, you have every right to catch a ball. People need to grow up. Fuck the haters. Keep doing what you’re doing.

-Kellen

August 30, 2022

I watched your movie last night. Excellent. Puts alot into prospective. I laughed and there was some sadness, that people have to be jerks. Keep doing what your doing. Me and my boys love the videos. Your travel videos are really great too. God bless brother.

-Geo

August 30, 2022

Keep enjoying life Zack! My kids also love your content as well as I do. Hopefully we meet you one day at dodger stadium or another ballpark! I give you so much credit for dealing with hate from the internet! Simply motivating to stay strong through adversity, can’t wait to see you get 12k!! Tell Fenway Chris hi for us as well lol

-Patricio

August 30, 2022

Hi Zack, hope all is well. Your content has cheered me up and I’ve been a big fan since the beginning. On Saturday I had to put down my best friend of 9 years and it was heartbreaking and devastating for me. My dog passed away Saturday at the age of 13. I’m broken and I lost my best friend. Your videos have cheered me up and I want to say thank you and I appreciate all the work you do. Hope you see this!

All the best my man

Jack

Also tell Fenway Chris I say hello

August 29, 2022

Hey man! Came across the YouTube channel and like the vids! Heard about the documentary and googled you to find it and, my God man...why do so many people hate you!? lol

Any idea? I mean...the friggin LA Times calls you a "ballhawk" (didn't even know that was a thing...), the New York Post calls you "hated", people seem to be FUMING over your video on what happened in CO (I agree with you on that, for what it's worth...) and so on...

Any idea why? Whose puppy did you kick, man?

Either way, keep rockin. Shoot me an email next time you're in Phoenix (I don't have Zuck-anything installed in my devices...). I'm a season ticket holder with some pretty sweet seats.

-Brent

August 28, 2022

Hey Zack! Just reaching out to say I so appreciate your positivity and how much fun you have with the game! I know a lot of people are bullying you right now and I don’t think it’s good! Keep going buddy! We love your content.

-Andrew

August 28, 2022

Hey bro from England! I’ve obviously seen all the stuff that has blown up on social media. And although it means nothing I want to say how sorry I am for having to deal with it! It is completely unjust and unkind for anyone to be as rude as some of the tweets I’ve seen! I’ve had a couple of chats with Fenway Chris and although I’ve never met you I can honestly say you’re a really cool guy and really hope that you’re not going to stop with your videos I watch them all the time!!

Jack,
Eastbourne, England

August 27, 2022

Hi Zack,

My son is a big fan of yours and he got to meet you and get a picture when you were in Kansas City for the Blue Jays series earlier in the year. After that, I started to watch your videos as well and really enjoy what you do. We live in Des Moines, Iowa and like to travel to MLB ballparks through the course of the year as well. Though we haven't hit all the ballparks yet, or on the scale you travel to the MLB parks, we love the game like you do.

Thank you for being so candid about the rediculous and embarrassing experience that unfortunately you dealt with at Coors Field. After we saw the video, I sent an email to the Rockies website saying that if that's how your going to treat people who visit your ballpark from out of town, why would people visit there? Essentially telling them that you have a person who loves the game, is great with the youth and selling the MLB game, and that's how your going to treat them? Total BS! I know that video upset a lot of baseball fans and the Rockies organization is going to feel the affects of that disgraceful behavior, as they should. No way my son and go there anytime soon.

Just want to reach out and tell you alot of fans love what you do, keep doing what your doing, and as fans we got each others back! Got Bless! Thanks Zack!

Shawn

August 27, 2022

Dear Zack,

I saw you are getting some flack for whatever happened in Colorado. I just want to let you know you are impacting baseball and mostly importantly to me the kids who are the future of the the game. All in a positive way. The kids love you and you are teaching them to love the game like we do. KEEP GOING ZACK. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE HATERS.

Just another fan.

-Nicholas

August 27, 2022

Hey Zack,

Just wanted to say thank you for the free advice you published online about getting game balls. Several years ago I took two days off of work to go to two Braves games during their last year at Turner Field. I’m glad I did, I got 2 game balls that my stepson and I treasure.

The haters don’t understand how much you have opened up the world of getting balls at major league parks to the rest of us. I have talked to so many people young and old who appreciate your expertise at the ballpark.

Take care,
Ben

August 27, 2022

I’ve seen you receive a little bit of hate lately but if it means anything to you, I’m 22 years old or as some people say “out of the catching home run ball phase”. I love watching all of your videos and the critics are people who are jealous they can’t do what you do. You have a special talent and it’s something you love. Keep doing you!

-Matt

August 27, 2022

Zack, please know that you have a ton of support from many. I've seen the new wave of jealous/ignorant haters & trolls making a run at you. My son & I deal with the same thing on our YT channel & recently made a video to fight back. Really hope you've found a way to ignore your mentions & DMs - online is mostly a cesspool. Haters will always twist any situation around to attack someone else who's doing well. As I say: if you're not putting in the same work, don't expect the same results. Keep up the good work, make videos for only yourself & those who support you, and F the haters. We got your back regardless.

August 27, 2022

I know you get a lot of hate (especially as of lately). Just want you to know that coming from a grown man and someone who’s been watching your channel for years and has seen the generosity you show to younger fans, you definitely grow the game. Ive never seen you shove a kid or fight someone over a ball and I think it’s bullshit you’re getting so much hate. Keep doing you. I know seeing all the hate is disheartening but there’s no such thing as bad publicity! Godspeed my friend!

-Tyson

August 26, 2022

Hey man! I know you're catching a lot of crap on Twitter (ugh that place is such a cesspool) for the incidents in Colorado but KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!! You get to live your passion everyday, make people happy (wayyy more often than not) & are seemingly just a good guy.

I posted this on the YouTube video, but what that usher/security guard said to you is wrong on so many levels. You CAN NOT admit on tape to treating people differently. Do people all the time get treated differently? Yes. Should this be the case? No..but you can't SAY ON TAPE that you are doing it.

Honestly, in this charged and lawsuit happy climate we live in, the Rockies are just damn lucky it didn't happen to someone else or they would have been accused of discriminatory business practices or something similar.

Anyways man, I stand behind you. Keep being you. Don't let a bad stadium experience run your day/week! And oh yeah, we need your mom to star in some more videos. It's been a while & she's great!

-Jon

August 26, 2022

Hello Zack, my name is Josh. I'm a big fan of your videos and you've inspired me to catch a few balls. With that being said, are you planning to attend to MLB-KBO series in November? I know you went to Japan and I think it would be awesome if you came to Korea and showed the world the amazing Korean fan experience. If you are, please consider coming to Busan instead of Seoul. Everyone knows Seoul but Busan fans are just as passionate. Also, since they're playing on November 11th in Busan, the MLB players will most likely be present at the UN Cemetery earlier in the day. If you come, I can show you the layout of Sajik stadium and the best places to catch a foul. Also, I'll also buy you a beer.

Hope to see you in Busan for the MLB-Korea series.

Cheers and keep up the good work!

Josh

Hi Mr. Hample! My name is Garrett, I am 14 years old and I live in KC, I know that you probably get messages like this all the time, but I just wanted to let you know that you are a huge inspiration for me and that I love all of your videos and your books, for a huge baseball fan like me it is really awesome to have such a smart baseball mind such as yourself giving tips for the younger generation of ballhawks. Thank you for all you do!
-Garrett-
Let’s go Royals

August 22, 2022

Zack, sorry in advance for the long email, I know you are a busy guy. Anyways, I am totally pissed and disgusted by the actions of the Coors Field employees. They are completely selfish and just don’t give a shit about anyones gameday experience. I wish you got to keep that home run but what can you do about it. Also I am a huge Orioles fan and you know that Camden Yards only opens their gates 1 hour before first pitch. (Ugh) But, as always I have a great experience there. I also met Ben Carhart and told him I saw him in your videos and he was cool. And finally one last thing. Next week I am going to see the O’s play in Cleveland. Assuming you respond, I would appreciate if you gave me some tips on how to snag balls at that stadium specifically. Keep up the great work and go O’s! You are the man! (P.S., tell Fenway Chris I said hi!)

-Vance

August 22, 2022

Hey Zack I'm sure I'll miss you by the time you see this but I would love to know when you come to Seattle would love to try to get an autograph for my daughter you're a huge inspiration and I did the same exact thing when I was younger trying to collect as many baseballs as I possibly could baseball bats whatever I could when I went to games just the thrill of it and the rush makes it all worth it you're the man keep up the good work bro

August 15, 2022

Kind of random. But I’ve been working at Guilford College about 4 years and a good friend of mine I play board games with John [last name redacted] told me about you. Anyway I’m a fan, love baseball and what you do. So I got a Ballhawk-topus shirt and your books. while in Denver seeing South Park at red rocks I decided I’d catch a Rockies game and of course had to where my favorite new baseball shirt. Guy selling me beer got all excited and had to take a picture to send to you. Then later saw you were at the game and just wanted to say that was quite serendipitous and I am a fan not a stalker I promise.

August 14, 2022

I stumbled across your channel earlier this week on vacation and instantly became a fan. My grand pop an avid Mets fan, me an every baseball cap wearing fan growing up in the late 80s/early 90s. Hence the connection and appreciation. I’ve been so out of the baseball world for 20 years. Thank you for bringing back that spark. People like you is what the sport needs. Thank you! Cheers

August 13, 2022

Hi, it is Leila and Ryan, two of your biggest fans! We were wondering if you will be at Yankee Stadium for Derek Jeter game night on Friday, September 9, 2022? If so where will you be sitting so we can see you?

August 10, 2022

Hey Zack, I just wanted to say I’m sorry about what happened to you tonight at Coors Field. As someone who frequents Coors I’ve never seen anything like this before. What’s worse is that you aren’t the only YouTuber who’s been harassed by Coors security this year. It just isn’t right, especially because you’re such a great ambassador for the game.

I thank you for keeping it cool after the game when I came to meet you. I knew you were frustrated and I didn’t want to push you for anything. But you were so nice and patient with not just me but everyone else who came to see you during and after the game. That’s something that sets you apart from everyone.

Just keep doing what you’re doing and being yourself. It’s what makes you the best ambassador for baseball. I hope I get to meet you again sometime and actually get to talk with you about the game we love.

-Trenton

August 10, 2022

Hi Zack - wanted to say thanks!

Thanks for your videos and content, and inspiring kids (including the kid in me). I got my first pro tossup the other day at Vancouver High-A affiliate, the Vancouver Canadians. I even got TWO balls.

The two games prior went like this…

Game 1 - severe bruises on calves from jumping to catch a tossup and catching the seats. Toss was too high.

Game 2 - end of the game, ask ball-boy for a ball. Asks manager if he can (minor league conserve balls as you probably know). Puts two poor tossups over the fence but doesn’t reach me.

Game 3 (I finally get a ball)- seats near the home dugout, asked the players by name and they gladly tossed them up. Then, inspired by you, kindly asked the manager for the lineup card at the end of the game. He gave me that too!

I really had a great time and wouldn’t have had the courage or thought to ask for any of those things and it made my day. I was so grateful for that experience.

Thank you Zack

PS - if you’re ever in Vancouver (or nearby at a Mariners game), I’d love to show you the historic and beautiful Nat Bailey Stadium and our beloved C’s. Amazing atmosphere too.

-Michael

Hi Zack, it was so nice seeing you and Chris at Chase Field. I could have talked to you for hours but I know your time is valuable. You have a job to do. I hope you were able to pad your stats at Chase Field. Not a lot of action but the crowds were small enough to move around easily. Thanks again for taking the time that you do to respond to your fans. You do go the extra mile and it does not go unnoticed. Good luck catching number 12, 000 which I'm sure will happen soon. Take care and don't be a stranger, Stewart

August 9, 2022

Hi Zack,

Zack I am a fan, at first I wondered, now I see you are the man in the stands, with every kid, every Dad saying thank yous…baseball needs you now, the attendance is off, Oakland is heartrending…we are going to lose them to Las Vegas…I can’t wait to see you doing your thing one day in  stadium somewhere…

Hi Zack I love watching your videos. I am just a kid but you have already made a impact on my life. Plus you even helped me realize that there is salt in Dasani water. Lol! I am going into 7th grade and that makes me a little scared but your videos are a perfect way to keep me positive and excited about school. I love baseball and play shortstop most of the time just like you. I just wanted to let you know how much your videos mean to me.

August 3, 2022

Hey man- I don’t know if you remember us, but you met my friend and me on 7/26 when you were at GABP in Cincinnati. Anyways, meeting you has meant the world to him. That night, he was giddy with excitement when he met you and he couldn’t stop asking about you and watching you as the night went on. He’s not stopped talking about it since he met you, and he’s really excited for your video from the Reds game to come out. I just wanted to let you know about the impact that you have on people. My friend hasn’t had the most fortunate childhood- he’s had long strips of bad luck and not a ton of true friends- and you have been one of the people that have brought him joy. Please keep doing what you’re doing, it means a lot to your fans.

-Jakob

August 1, 2022

Zack, thank you for making so many awesome videos! I watch every single one! My favorite is the one in Cincinnati where you caught 3 home runs in one game! I have watched that video SOOO many times! I go to a little under 20 independent league games a year and have gotten a ton of balls! My best game ever so far was when I caught 2 home runs during one game! I also have gone to 7 MLB games in my life, 6 at Wrigley Field and 1 in Milwaukee when they played there! I have gotten 2 MLB balls, and one was an Ian Happ game home run! I am a BIG baseball fan and a BIG ZACK HAMPLE FAN! Thank you for all your amazing videos, and good luck catching more baseballs!

-Daniel

Hey. Watched your movie yesterday with my 6 and 10 year old sons.

We are in Guatemala, English is our 2nd language. And we very much keep track of your YouTube channel.

You can’t imagine how amazing it is to experience a baseball field from your lens; being so far away we feel we can have a grasp of that heavenly experience of a baseball game.

Thanks.

July 27, 2022

Hey, Zack! How’s it going? My name is Evan and I’m a huge huge hugeeee fan of you and all your work. I stumbled into your channel in 2017, I believe. At the time I was 10, now I’m 14. I’ve been in love with baseball ever since I was 5, when my parents got me to play T-Ball. Crazy, right? Over the years I’ve grown to love the game more and more. When I got the ability to have YouTube, I remember all I could ever watch was baseball videos. And luckily, with that, the YouTube algorithm recommended a video of yours. I remember watching your channel for the first time, in awe of how many baseballs you could get at a MLB game. To a 10 year old, that really amazed me, and still does. I’m so glad I came across your channel because you have become my favorite YouTuber I’ve ever watched. When I was 10, I didn’t have the YouTube app yet, so I had to watch from the YouTube website, but it still worked. Just a couple years ago I finally got the app instead and was able to finally subscribe to you as well. You’re literally the only YouTube channel in which I have my post notifications on. None of the other channels are as important to me. I’m usually on my phone pretty often, so I’m able to quickly see when you post and watch your newest videos. I try to comment as much as I can. Last year I think I commented in a lot of your videos, even if it was just a quick “Hey Zack!” Last year I was debating whether to comment or not because I wasn’t sure if you would read mine and if it was just a waste of time. But I did and I looked and it didn’t get many likes and I didn’t think you would see it, but you did! You hearted my comment and I always get goosebumps when that happens because I come to realization that THE Zack Hample saw and liked my comment. It’s a great feeling. I remember just recently when I commented on your Wrigley Field cup snake video. I was the one who commented with the emojis asking for a shoutout. Pretty clever, right? Yeah you could say I love commenting on your videos because it’s pretty much a guarantee that you’ll see it and possibly respond too. I also have been trying to watch every single video on your channel. I’ve been doing this since April or may (I think) and it’s been going great. I’ve watched every video from the very beginning of your channel to about the middle of the 2016 season. I’ve also watched the full 2020 season, 2021, and what you’ve posted so far in 2022 season. And of course, the off-season. Can’t forget about the off-season. Always fun videos there and I appreciate that. Right now, I’m in the beginning of the 2019 season. Anyway, the point of all this is this: I love your videos, I think you’re the best YouTuber ever, and you’re my favorite YouTuber ever. You have amazing content and keep it up! You’re doing amazing! I have no idea how people hate on you so much, you’re literally such a fun guy! You have a great, hilarious, and peppy personality and it suits you so well! You’re a great person, Zack, and keep it up! I never knew people were able to email you until I watched your website video in 2019, and I checked deeper into your website. I probably should have known, given the big “CONTACT” heading at the top (duh). Well Zack, I’m loving this, I hope you see this and respond. I’d love to keep in touch with you, and talk some baseball. I think we’d get along pretty well. Have an amazing day/night!
Thanks,
Evan :)

July 27, 2022

Hey Zack. Thank you so much for giving me a baseball tonight at the Reds game! We’re from out of town and I’ve been watching your videos since I was very young dreaming I would once see you at Target Field. Little did I know I would not see you in Minneapolis, and would catch you in Cincinnati! I also think it’s a coincidence that I meet you days after you’ve been in Minnesota. Keep being you Zack. You’re making people days, every day you’re at a game!

-Eli

July 26, 2022

Hey Zack, thanks so much for taking the time with my kids tonight at the Reds game. We’re the ones who shouted at you before the game. :-) My son, Jude, is a huge baseball fan, and he loves your videos. He snagged a ball from you pre-game and you signed it for him. Made his year! From 1 dad on behalf of his kids, thanks for being fun and approachable.

July 25, 2022

To Mr. Hample

I was was watching your royals videos again because I am going to Kauffman tomorrow and if you ever do go to Kauffman again this year or any year there are things called early bird tickets on the mlb royals you can purchase it for 15$ a piece and you can get into the stadium really early for all of batting practice but right now it is only for Friday and Saturday games as of this time besides this Monday and Tuesday game against the angels. https://www.mlb.com/royals/ballpark/tours/gameday-experiences

I hope you will be able to use it and I am a huge fan and you have made baseball games much more fun.

From Grahe

July 24, 2022

Dear Zack, last night I went to see the greatest band in the world 'Rage Against the Machine' here in Toronto. When the show was over and the crew was breaking down the stage they began throwing stuff from the show into the crowd. After watching tons of your videos I employed my best Hample Skills and positioned myself perfectly to grab a drumstick used in the show. The ultimate rock show prize!!!! The way it happened was so reminiscent of so many of your videos. The stick hit the ground and passed through the hands of 2 people before it hit the ground one more time where I positioned myself perfectly to grab it. Thank you Zack!!! - Side note the lead singer of Rage Against the Machine is also named Zach LOL!

July 23, 2022

Hey Zack,

I hope this email finds you well! I was wondering if you could maybe look for older people to give baseballs you’ve snagged!? I mean I love the fact you give younger fans the balls you catch, but I’m 33 and if someone gave me a ball that they’d caught I’d be overwhelmed, especially as an Englishman at a game in America. Obviously it’s your call but I’d love to see you handing balls off to older fans or maybe people you’ve beaten to the catch!

I’ve emailed you before and apologised for previous comments I’ve left on your social media, I was wondering if you could unblock me on instagram? My handle is [redacted]

You accepted my apology and I’d like to be able to follow you on instagram to see your updates etc.

Last thing, when is the home run derby video dropping? Im a huge Nats fan and I want to see your take on Juan Soto winning it!

I have enclosed a photo of me wearing the World Series cap and t-shirt as proof!

Take care my friend

Lucas

July 22, 2022

Hey Zack (not Zach), just wanted to thank you. I’m in England and a newcomer to baseball, and it’s 99% down to you. You popped up on my suggestions on YT gave you a view, ever since I’m hooked on the game. Thank you, sir, literally my best decision ever to watch your video. Love your enthusiasm for what you do, keep it up (obviously you will).

July 18, 2022

Hi Zack. I am the Nana to Cam and Case and along with my husband and their mother, we are raising the 9 & 6 year old boys. On February 6, 2021, my son, their father, was crossing the street when an F350’s driver took his eyes off the road, went left of center and killed him. It was an accident anyone could make. The boys love baseball as did my son. We are taking a baseball vacation before school starts and both boys are huge Zack Hample fans. I’m not sure if you ever surprise your fans at ball games but I know two little guys that would love such a surprise. We live in Clearwater, FL and are heading to the Midwest on August 2nd. We are going to a Cubs game on the 3rd, a White Sox game on the 5th and a Brewers game on the 7th. To say this has been a long year doesn’t begin to describe what we have all been through. Aside from taking them on a baseball vacation, I can’t think of anything they would love more. They are allowed to watch 45 minutes of YouTube a day and 95% of the time they watch your videos.

Thank you for your consideration in advance and we hope to hear from you. Also thank you for providing positive, fun sports content for todays youth. The love of the game goes beyond playing and part of that can be attributed to you.

Blessings,

Cindy

July 16, 2022

Zack just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your content as well as your insight during your travels to MLB ballparks. I really appreciate your positive attitude and outlook when making these videos even you have the bored losers trying to heckle you during games, and I can tell you’re a true fan of the game. Keep making the great content! Just wanted to pass on some positivity

-Danny

Hey Zack I am a huge fan . Is there any way you can go to the Atlanta Braves vs the dbacks game in Atlanta , on July 31st? Love your videos !

July 13, 2022

Greetings Mr. Hample,

We are two passionate Milwaukee Brewers fans named Mason and Quintin, and we have attended numerous Brewers games throughout the years. Your motivation to create YouTube content is inspirational, and your impressive accolades such as the catching of Mike Trout’s first home run and A-Rod’s 3,000th hit are truly admirable. As long and invested fans of your baseball content, we have dreamt of attending a game and seeing you in person. On June 24th, 2022, we were lucky enough to be in attendance while you were at American Family Field. However, we were unfortunately unaware that you were at the game, missing a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet you in person. We understand that you have a very busy schedule, but next time you are preparing a visit to MKE/American Family Field, we would be overjoyed if you gave us a heads up on your Social Media. Thank you so much for the time you took out of your busy day to read this email and for the inspiration you give young fans like us.

July 13, 2022

Hey Zack, I’m late to finding out about you. I’ve only been watching your videos the last month or so. They made me very happy honestly and brought me back to why I loved baseball. I’ve been having a hard time , in life, and it made me genuinely happy to see what you do and the way you do it. I did recently purchase your documentary and see the criticism you’ve received over the years and it’s unfortunate. I was relieved for my own life to see someone who had figured out a way around the system to make a life of just being at ball parks but there is a dark side to everything I guess. I appreciate what you do and just wanted to let you know . Good job and I need to watch someone like you to keep going. Keep it up , I hope to meet you at a game one day!

-Chris

July 9, 2022

Hey Zack, I just watched your movie I bought last night & it was a well done movie! I bet this took a long time to make & put together over the past couple of years, & just wanted to thank you also your filmmaker for doing this movie & I really enjoyed it, you’ve been through a lot in your life as you explained & I am glad how far you gotten with your success. I enjoyed this movie &  hopefully sometime in the future we can do a “Watch with Zack” game once I have more time for it especially with my busy schedule this summer hopefully we can work something out for a day in the future in the next year or so. Just wanted to say congratulations & thanks on the movie & hope you get 1 million subscribers soon.

Thanks-

David

Zack, My name is Larry and I live in Philadelphia and we're about the same age. I heard about your captivating stories when I was much younger. Fast forward to these past few months I stumbled upon your YouTube and was delighted to see your still at it better than ever. June 26, 2022

Hey Zack,

I just went over your FAQ for watchalongs and unfortunately I don’t meet the criteria. I did want to let you know that I have an extra chophouse ticket in right field available for you though whenever you’re in Atlanta. Even if you can’t make it THIS season the offer will ALWAYS stand. Thank you for everything you do for the game that I love the most. Cheers, I hope you have an amazing season.

You’re biggest fan over 25,
Jake

June 26, 2022

Hi Zack, I’m a huge fan of yours and love watching your videos. I’m a diehard yankees fan but will watch any game that’s on tv . My dream is to one day be one of the first women in MLB history. I had a major accomplishment yesterday that I think you’ll be proud of. I caught my first ever ball, at yankees stadium. It was the most amazing feeling in the world. I can’t imagine catching over 11,000 baseballs. It was tossed up to me before the game by the Astros backup catcher for the Astros, Javier Bracamonte.

Unfortunately the yankees lost but To be honest I didn’t really care because it was a no hitter. I was so happy when I got a ball at the beginning of the game but I was even happy after because it was a NO HITTER.

It would be amazing if you read this far and would be even better if you responded. Your one off my idols and inspirations. Bye

-Mia

June 23, 2022

Zack,

I grew up visiting ballparks across the county with my father. Spring training in Florida spent most summers at Dodgertown, then Nationals/expos at space coast stadium. Watching you videos really brings me back to catching foul balls, autographs, and getting broken bats after the game. Keep up the good work and I love the passion for the game.

Best Wishes,
David

Hi Zack,

First off I am a huge fan and what you do is insane. I honestly don’t know how you get so many baseballs. I love the phillies and was wondering if you will be back in Philly at all this year because I would love to see you. Or even if you have a schedule of the games you go to in the year.

Thanks

-Liam

Hello Zack,

Always awesome to watch your videos. I don't know if you remember, but last year on a rainy day in Minneapolis the White sox vs. Twins game I met you! Just wanted to check up and see when you would be planning on coming back to the Twin Cities. I live about 5-10 mins from Target Field and wanted to let you know I have extra space at my house if you don't feel like paying for the expensive hotels. My phone number is [redacted] and my insta is [redacted] so please feel free to hit me up there.

Always a pleasure to watch your videos and follow your journey Zack! Let me know if you ever need a place to stay!

June 15, 2022

Hi Zack, my name is Jack. We met at the very last game played at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. I know you have met millions of fans during your baseball catching endeavors but I still think It's pretty cool to have met you. I have no idea what your schedule is for games this season and as a teen who makes $12 an hour I can't afford to pay for a game with you lol. (Regardless of that you said on your website an adult has to pay for it and contact you, but why am I telling you this, idk) Getting to the point I was wondering if you had any plans of coming to Arlington to catch a Rangers game this season. I know you went to the NLCS in 2020 (I am not a stalker lol I just enjoy your videos ) but I'm not sure if you had attended an actual Rangers game. As everyone who loves baseball knows they totally revamped their lineup. Corey Seager, Marcus Semien (who has gotten real hot lately) and Mitch Garver just to name a few. They are a powerhouse right now and surprising everyone by somehow being in second place in the AL West. They have been beating up on your favorite player Trout this season but we still can't seem to beat the Yankees very often. They did beat them on my birthday though so that was a nice surprise. But there will be plenty of games left in the season where they play the Angels and in early October they will play the Yankees in a 4 game series including a doubleheader one day. I hate how the Rangers can never make it to late October, maybe next year. But if you have a certain day in mind that you are coming to Arlington I would love to meet you again and maybe try to snag a ball or two from you. (but realistically there is no shot I can try to get one from you) I don't know if that crosses the line between seeing you at a game and going to a game with you but maybe I can get a trick or tip on getting balls not mentioned on your website. All I know is wearing a hat or shirt of the team and knowing players names. I know you are a busy man and I am excited to see what videos you release in the following weeks. (I am going to leave my phone number and email down below just to make a reply easier and in whatever way works best for you)

Thank you so much, Jack

June 15, 2022

I just discovered your channel and wanted to tell you how great it is. No, I”m not a kid, I’m a 54 year old lifetime lover, and player, of the greatest game on Earth. I commend you on your dedication and hard work. The joy you bring to kids everywhere is very inspiring to me. Keep up the awesome work and maybe I’ll run into you at Wrigley Field someday.

June 13, 2022

To Zack,

Hello my name is Grahe(gray). I am 13 I live in the Kansas City area. My home team is the royals and I have always wanted to meet you, but I haven’t been able to yet. I went to the Orioles against the royals game this last Friday and I was hoping to see you but I sadly discovered that you had come a couple days earlier. I am going to Minnesota to see the twins play sometime between the 21st and 26th of June and I was wondering if you are going to be there at all that week? I’m just wondering because if you are going to be there I would like to say hi and meet you. And one last thing when I was at the royals game I got a police officer in the bullpen to throw a kid a baseball and he got the baseball, but at the other bullpen the other officer said no. It was strange.

Ps. I was wondering if we could be pin pals and write to each other back and fourth.

Sincerely, Grahe

Hey Zack. I'm a bit older than you but I think you and I share a love for the same thing.. Baseball.

Watching what you do, I realize that I should have followed the old adedge of "if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

I truly admire how you've created your life's work around your passion. I only get to go to a game every 5 or 6 years it seems, but maybe I'll see you at a Giants or Angel's game one day.

I realize your damn busy, but if possible could I get a signed baseball or one of your baseball cards? I will pay for it if you let me know the price and how to send the payment. I think you're making a real difference by keeping the younger generations interested in the sport. Encouragement and direction is something that the kids need these days.

Keep up the good work Zack. There's a lot of us living vicariously through your videos.

Thank you,

Steve

Hey Zack

My name is Daniel. Big fan of your videos. I had a idea of a video that would be amazing. It's not MLB but the Savannah Bananas has some crazy rules with there including fans who catch a foul ball is an out which I think would be right up your alley. Just a thought. Keep up the amazing content.

-Daniel

You have brought that dream i had as i kid back to do that and conquer that goal!! Cant wait to catch my first homer .. sheesh even my first foul ball!! Thanks again Zack!

Hey Zack, was just wondering if you'll be in Cincinnati July 31 when they host the Orioles. It's my son's first Major League baseball game and I was just curious if you planned that far ahead what stadium you'll be visiting. No worries if you aren't, I'm sure one day we'll be able to meet you! Love the videos and best wishes!

June 6, 2022

Hallo Zack,

thank you for your wonderfull videos.
I love the intim views in the stadiums and the surrounding. Here in Germany you will not find a lot of baseball-fans. But I do. I am in a soccer-nation an alien. (:-)

Greetings from Koblenz in Germany

June 5, 2022

Dear Zack, I have been a fan on your Youtube page for quite some time. I enjoy watching your videos above so many others. I binge watch older ones I haven't yet seen and absolutely love this journey you are on. I usually comment on the videos. My Screen Name is [redacted] in case you wanted to connect this email to the comments. My actual name is Ryan.

Zack I grew up in New Jersey born and raised visiting NYC as often as I could. My dad before passing away in 1990 took me to a game at Shea to see the Mets and once to the old Yankee Stadium. I was partial to being a Mets fan even though Don Mattingly was a hero of mine. Of course we can remember the great Subway Series when it came around. Never went to one of those. Dad passed when I literally turned 16 [On my 16th Birthday] but that is a whole other story.

I finally was able to rent your Documentary Zack Vs. The World and it truly was the best 90+ minutes of my life. It brought me to understand you so much more, how life was for you during your teenage years and what drove you to be who you are today.

Zack I too was an outsider always looking in. I wasn't interested in a lot of things most kids my age were. I was a loner most of my life and was even bullied out of playing little league because I just didn't have the chops or any friends that wanted me around.

My passion became cars. I collected Matchbox and Hot Wheels, and also loved helping my dad work on his. I was 14 and hanging around the local garage just cleaning up trash off the floor and running errands on my bike just to be around cars. Other kids thought I was weird but it made me happy. I wasn't popular and wasn't good at school either because all I could think of was getting out of school and going to the car garage.

Zack I understand the need to be the best at what you do. I wanted to learn everything about cars and how they worked. Growing up in the 80's was a different time and there was no internet or social media. I didn't have a lot of friends so I made up my own adventures and learned what I could about collecting. I got into baseball cards and met a really cool guy at a local card shop. This brought me back into baseball and the love of it, I was also a huge basketball fan as well.

I was tormented at school because of being different and being different isn't a bad thing if you enjoy what you do.

The documentary ran through all my emotions, happy, angered, sad, and most of all joyful that I learned about someone else who not only likes being different but embraces it. The comments people left you the talk radio and tv personalities acting annoyed or immature angered me but then I thought about it. I believe living outside of the box is way more exciting than inside it. Who the heck wants to be normal, hell what does normal even mean? I believe that is what draws me to your videos more than just seeing a baseball game. You're being Zack and not what the normal people in life expect you to be. That is just effing cool.

Years have gone by and the love of sports faded only to be rekindled once I found your channel. Enjoying a ball game and interacting with players and fans sharing your love and passion for the game with us, that makes fans like me truly enjoy the 15-20 minutes a day when I can sit back and enjoy another video.

I think those people that say rude and insensitive comments about what you're doing are just boring lame people with mundane lives never really knowing or experiencing what it really means to LIVE. When I hear you or read a comment like that I don't feel bad for you, no I feel bad for them because they will never know and just don't get it. I do, I get it and I love it.

I mentioned in a comment to you that I won't probably ever get to another game at the stadium because about 12 years ago I was injured very badly on I-78 near Summit NJ when I was assisting a motorist with their breakdown [I was a tow truck operator]. I was struck by a vehicle going around 70 mph but somehow my reflexes allowed me to move slightly out of the way but the impact broke my back, my leg, right arm, and my face smashed into the steel deck of the flatbed tow truck breaking my jaw and smashing 80% of my teeth. I was left with shards in my mouth that were eventually removed surgically. I am on disability permanently and my income is barely liveable so being able to experience games through your videos has brought back my childhood love of the game. Your tenacity and what my grandpa used to say gumpshun is remarkable and brings such joy in my life.

I wrote this email because I felt like after watching your documentary I finally understood and realized being happy isn't about having millions of dollars or fancy stuff it's about enjoying life and living it to what you want it to be, only I can control and make my destiny and I can chose to be normal or be who I am and be happy just the same.

Your Mom said something in the video that I hope doesn't happen for a very long time. She said what is gonna happen when Zack turns 40 something and still does this will be weird will it need to stop. I hope not. I hope you continue to do this and share a part of your life with us each and every day. Maybe some fans like to see the games, maybe some like to see how many you catch, as for me I enjoy spending that twenty minutes a day sitting here watching a ball game with a person who has more passion for life and is living their dream on his terms. That is what draws me to your videos. Oh and Fenway Chris is a pretty cool dude too

Ok Ok I have gone on long enough , Zack I just wanted to say I truly enjoyed your documentary. It moved me in a way that opened my eyes to how living life on my own terms is just fine and that being weird is frickin awesome. Thank You Zack for what you're doing and for taking a moment out of your day to read this. I will understand if you don't get back to me I would imagine your schedule is crazy, but just know I am a fan, and you have touched my life in such a positive way as I am sure you have others. Zack please stay who you are because I truly believe you are destined to do even bigger, greater things.

Take Care of Yourself and See Ya in the next video.

Sincerely
Ryan

June 2, 2022

Hello Zack you probably won’t get this but I just want to say thank you for making your vids. I live in England and as you probably know baseball isn’t popular at all but watching your vids has helped me gain an understanding and learn to really enjoy the game that you love so much. I have just been to Boston and watched my very first game at a stadium ( Red Sox v Cincinnati reds ) it was and excellent experience but I wasn’t able to snag a baseball although but I have got a baseball that I would love if you would be able to sign it. I know I’m sure you get these sorts of requests everyday but you really have done something for me and if you would sign a baseball for me it would be greatly appreciated

So if you are able to I can’t find an address to send it to you anywhere so if you could send me a P.O. Box or shipping address that would be massively appreciated

-Toby

June 1, 2022

Hi Zack. My name is Rebecca. I’m a mom to two amazing little boys- Liam age 6 and Cullen age 3. While I wish I could give my boys the impeccable opportunity of meeting you and all, I sadly don’t have that kind of magic. The reason for my message is to let you know how much you mean to my boys. Liam and Cullen were born with spinal defects (official DX is Spina Bifida) as well as underlying issues as a result. Liam is currently wheelchair bound and Cullen is suppose to use a special Walker (but refuses lol). The amount of joy your videos bring my brave little fighters is unspeakable. My boys and I have found the true love in baseball over the last few years and your videos are such an important piece of baseball for them. 99% of the time they spend on the tablet is filled with your videos. I just wanted to say thank you.

From the deepest bottom of my heart, thank you for what you do. Thank you for giving my boys an incredible insight into the world of baseball. I hope that one day I can find a way to get the money to schedule a game with you because I know they would love it. Until I do, we will continue to watch your videos and enjoy them. Thank you for being part of the love of baseball my boys have.

June 1, 2022

Hi Zack. I don’t watch baseball because I’m a clueless immigrant who didn’t have baseball in her country. I just wanna tell you I admire your mom Mrs. Naomi Hample and her sisters Ms. Judith and Ms. Adina. I got to meet them in Argosy and was so happy cos I’ve always wanted to talk to them. I practically begged them to hire me even as a housekeeper or an errands person. Since I was in the Philippines I’ve always wanted to meet them and then I saw that documentary Booksellers and their star status just soared more. Do you work as an owner at Argosy too like Mr. Ben Lowry? If so, can you hire me? Lol sorry. I just want to let you know I love your mom and aunts I’ve never seen such kind, cultured people. So down to earth. I wish I can send them fanmail everyday, haha. You seem nice too like them. I am watching your vlog to learn more about baseball.

-Jen

May 31, 2022

Hey Zack,

I just wanted to tell you that I love your videos and that I think they are awesome!!! I also think that it's really nice of you to give balls to kids, and I really appreciate your content. Keep making good stuff! I will also be at the Royals game on June 8th and it would be pretty cool to see you there!

Thanks,
Emmett

May 31, 2022

Hello,

I came across your videos and have been enjoying them. My son is 3 and just getting into liking baseball. I have been taking him to the Rochester Red Wings games here in upstate New York. He loves when he can catch a ball.

I attached a photo of him and a ball he got while at a recent game and figured you might enjoy it. Hopefully his love of baseball continues like yours.

Hey Zack! Doubt you’ll see this but my names Carter. I go to the university of Alabama and am a big fan. I’ve taken inspiration from you and strive to get baseballs at all the games I go to (no matter what level). I made it my goal this year to get 50 baseballs by going to only Alabama baseball home games this season and I ended with a season total of 51! Just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me. My friends are all calling me “the Zack hample of college baseball”

May 27, 2022

What’s up Zack!
I’m Josh and I’ve been a fan for years and years now! I live in Los Angeles and I love going to Dodgers games and I was asking if you are going to attend dodgers stadium this year so I could go and meet you and hopefully get a signed baseball! If you are coming out to LA, it would be awesome if you could let me know when so I could buy tickets and achieve my goal of meeting you. Good luck on the season!

May 26, 2022

I just started watching your videos on YouTube and I am hooked. You are living my dream. My dream has been to go to every Major League Stadium and watch a game. But I have a disability due to back surgery for tumors on my spinal cord and a crooked foot from breaking it twice. And now I’m 38 and it’s all catching up with me. But I am a huge huge die hard Atlanta Braves fan and have been blessed to have been to over a 100 or so Braves game my Daddy took me to my first game in 1991. I have been lucky enough to get many many autographs over the years we used to go to the players parking lot after the games and get the autographs. I have some great autographs from many Braves greats and HOFamers now. I haven’t had the luck with baseball’s like you have had. I have only got two batting practice home runs balls over the years lol. But that’s better than none. Anyway I love what your doing. Just wanted to share my story from one baseball fan to another.

-Brian

May 26, 2022

Hey, I just want to say, as an Irish man and a big ice hockey fan (habs) for as long as I can remember, I NEVER got into baseball, but started to watch you over a year ago and on our holidays to California last year I brought my Little boy to his first game - Padres (they won). But flash forward now over a year later and I’m Sitting here watch Jays V Angels MID 6th and loving life. Just wanted to say the sheer love and joy you have for the game has spread to me and my boy. Thanks Zack! Play ball!

-Pat

May 25, 2022

Zack,

My wife Amanda and I met you and Fenway Chris tonight at Minute Maid Park. Both you and Chris were gracious enough to sign a ball for us. I was the guy that told you I was visiting from Colorado and was not expecting to see you and Chris at all. First of all, thank you both so much for taking the time to sign our ball! I am not speaking with hyperbole when I say that meant a lot to us both and made our night.

I watch pretty much every video you post on Youtube. My wife often watches your videos with me as well. We really enjoy watching them and love seeing your adventures. Also, the documentary Zack Hample vs. the World is an interesting and entertaining movie. It was so cool to meet people I enjoy watching on Youtube and to see that you two are both good guys in person and not just for the camera.

Thanks so much,
Thomas

May 23, 2022

Zack,

Hi, my name is Bryan and I love your videos! I am 13 years old. I have recently subscribed in the past month, and watch every video. I really want to thank you. Recently, I went to a University of South Florida Baseball game.  Thanks to your videos, I came home with 10 baseballs including a home run! Without your videos I never could have done this. I really appreciate your videos. You were my inspiration to start collecting baseballs. A few years ago I got pitcher Shane McClanahan’s college autograph. I am making sure to hold on to this ball forever as I am certain it will be very valuable in the future. Thanks for everything!

-Bryan

May 22, 2022

I recently subscribed to your YouTube channel.

I enjoy the fact you give away balls to the kids and show me different ballparks from a fans point of view.

I was disappointed to see the negative comments.

Ignore them, and do what you love. Your making baseball more palpable to us who loved the game and haven't focused on it more.

Being a Pirates fan you can see why.

I saw Roberto Clemente when I was 7.

I went to a Reds Pirates game.

Stan Belinda to Sean Casey, to Al Martin, my only ball.

Keep up the great work and passion.

-Bryan

May 21, 2022

Zack can you come to a Cleveland Guardians game on June 11 because I really want to meet you I can tell you what section I will sit at

May 20, 2022

Hey Zack,

Just wanted to say to keep on keeping on. My cousin was sick and your videos were/are the only thing he would watch while in the hospital.

I got hooked as a baseball fan as well. Just thought I’d let you know, even though you already know, you’re a huge influence for baseball lovers.

Ps, if I’m ever in New York, I’d like a chance to play that massive scrabble board haha.

Take care and keep getting on the board.

-Andrew

Hello Zack my name is Dustin I wanted to get in touch to tell you how much of an impact your YouTube channel has made on me. I used to be a casual fan of baseball catching the odd game on tv but your channel has made me find my love of the sport again as well as i new love for the Angels. I was just wondering if you had any advice for catching attention from players at games as I plan on attending my first MLB game this July in Atlanta as well as say that If you are ever near bowling green KY I implore you to check out the BG Hotrods the local Single A team. Once again much respect for what you do and much love for the content

May 12, 2022

Hey Zack!

Just wanted to pop in and shoot you a message man.

I just purchased your movie and i LOVED IT! You and i met a few years ago in arizona during spring training. I gave you a ride from mesa (cubs complex) to peoria sports complex for a mariners game.

I just wanted to say i respect the hell out of you as a man and can relate with you greatly. Growing up as a kid, i too was different. I found it to be hard to relate with people, connect with people, etc. ive always been a guy who just does my own thing and lives a life of solitude. I found peace and happiness in being at ballparks just like yourself. Ive never classified myself as a ball hawk like yourself but i love the chase of getting a ball, a autograph, etc.

Next time youre on the west coast for a game, let me know man. I live in san diego. If you ever need a place to crash, a ride around the city, etc, ill take care of ya man.

Id love to catch a ballgame with you sometime.

Great job on the film man. And on behalf of all the non shit heads, im sorry about all the hate you get. But remember this man, you’ll never be able to please everyone.. there will always be haters no matter what you do, as long as YOU are happy doing what you do, that’s all that matters.

I love that youve been able to take your PASSION and make it your CAREER. Youre an inspiration to a lot of people as well brother.

Ive met you, ive seen you interact with fellow fans and you’ve always been a stand up guy. You’re a great dude in my book.

-David

May 10, 2022

Hey Zack I just saw you a few minutes ago at the bullpen. I was in shock and I was so excited to see you when I turned around. Me and my brother heard your voice and we knew that was you and we were so happy!!! It was a pleasure meeting you tonight and keep up the great work. I watch your videos all the time and they are bangers. Goodnight. Btw this is from the kid in the black giants jersey and from the kid with a grey giants jersey. Our sister’s boyfriend took our picture. Love you man

-Joey

Zack, how are you? My name is Jorge, I'm a huge fan from Uruguay. Thanks to you, I've become a huge baseball fan. One of my dreams is to get a used Baseball from a game and I know I'll accomplish it one day.

Probably you won't read this, but wanted to say thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings through Youtube videos, spreading love for baseball to parts of the world where people don't know anything about it.

Good luck in next games!

Hi Zack! My name is Dustin and I am from Greensboro NC. This may be a long shot but on June 25 the me and my father will be in Atlanta to watch the dodgers take on the Braves as part of my Graduation gift before I leave to play college baseball. If you could make this game and we could meet up for an autograph and photo that would be awesome. Me and my father are life long fans of you. Best wishes on the season and we hope you snag plenty of baseball along the way.

Thanks,
Dustin

May 8, 2022

Hey Zack I’m a huge fan of your videos and they’ve helped me get through some recent tough times. I was contacting you to find out if there’s any chance that you will be at Yankee Stadium for Lou Gehrig day as they will be having commemorative baseballs and I really want to meet you in person as it would be a dream come true.

I believe that the game is on June 2nd against the Angels I checked with Seat Geek.

Honestly I don’t expect you to respond and if you do it would mean a lot to me.

Best Regards.

-Michael

Yo!

Your videos are sick man! We need more people that are as passionate about baseball as you are! I am super passionate myself, played in college and high school. Without baseball, I wouldn’t have the amazing friends and memories I’ve made throughout the years. I also wouldn’t be betting as much haha, I just won a little over $500 on this 4 leg parlay below! Anyways, keep up the good work man and hope to see you in person at a game!

Subject: A long overdue apology

Hello Zack,

My name is Lucas and I've been watching your videos for a long time, I've never been your biggest fan and over the years I have been responsible for writing some nasty comments on your YouTube, Tiktok, Twitter and Instagram.

As this email states at the top, this is a long overdue apology, so Mr Hample, please accept my sincere apology, I shouldn't have written those things about you and I feel the least I could do is reach out and try to right the wrongs.

I'm from the UK and like I said, I've been watching you for a long time, you're by far the best baseball vlogger I've seen and your content has always been top notch.

If there's anything I can do to make it up to you please don't hesitate to get in touch as I'd really like the opportunity to show you I've changed and I've grown up alot.

Thanks for reading Zack,
Lucas

Good Afternoon Zack,

My name is Dave. My 12 year old son Tyler and I are huge fans. We watch you on YouTube all the time.

I’m reaching out because in July my sons 12U travel ball team will be traveling from Oakley California to play in Cooperstown. Most of the team will be flying into Boston first to catch the Yankee vs Red Sox Friday night game on 7/8 at Fenway. It would be awesome if you were there. There will be 35 of us at the game.

My family also has Yankee tickets for the Saturday Night July 16th Game against the Sox. If you happen to be at either game we would love to connect. My kid would be blown away. I realize you have a busy schedule but I thought I would reach out and take a chance.

Looking forward to your response.

Have a great day.

Best regards,
Dave

You have help me catch many home runs and foul balls.

I took my younger son to his first MLB game yesterday. Watching your videos and seeing some of your tips/tricks, my oldest son was able to help him get baseball #1! Coincidently he got his first game ball from his little league game the same day. Little league ball and Major League ball in same day :) He was thrilled and all smiles. Thank you Zack for giving us the inspiration to attempt to get him a ball :)

May 1, 2022

Hey!!! My son and i are watching your documentary. My son came up to you at an Atlanta Braves game. Not only were you gracious, you gave him a ball and signed it. It is in a case in his room. That meant so much to both of us. Keep doing you- you are an inspiration for individualism. Thank you!!! Btw- my son wants our house to look like your apartment. I kinda do, too!!!!!

April 26, 2022

Hi, I am the kid who met you on the night you came out of LaGuardia airport. I am a huge fan! I could not believe it was you. Thank you for giving me that card and for being so nice to me. I was wondering if me and you could keep in touch with each other. Thank you for your time.

April 26, 2022

Hey Zack I just watched your newest video and I wanted to say yesterday in DC I pretty much had the same thing happen. I was shut out until the bottom of the 5 when I got a Keibert Ruiz Foul Ball (my 1st that ever made it into the stands than got Craig Albernaz Giants Bullpen Coach to give me the big lineup card my 1st ever. My trip was fantastic with me also getting my 100th lifetime ball (115 as of now) and finally averaging more than 1 a game 115 balls in 102 games. I know this message is long but you turned the game I love into something transcendent for me and I owe a lot to you, thanks again.

April 25, 2022

Hey Zack,

I saw both of your videos at PNC park! The final one with Najee Harris and Jason Grilli and his son were amazing!!! Well done to you and Fenway Chris! I have been to 23 MLB stadiums and I'm planning on making it to 30 sometime soon. I now live in Los Angeles, but growing up in Pittsburgh was a great experience. Thanks for all the hard work and dedication to your videos. Keep up the good work and hope to see you soon. I will be at Dodger Stadium in the beginning of May, so let me know ur upcoming schedule.

PS: My lifetime baseball total is 100 baseballs from starting at 6 years old.

I also liked the documentary "Zack Hample Versus The World" it was well done and more people should have more idols like you.

Keep up the great work!

L.J.

I know it’s tough being a social media star but you’re one of the best if not the best and very well respected. My props to you for opening up and letting us see a glimpse of your life , past, present & future. You are one of kind and keep up the great work.

April 24, 2022

Hi Zack. Just wanted you to know that I watched the documentary tonight. Sorry you take so much heat. I have always been a sports collector and share your passion. My friend used to go up by the dugouts and ask for the broken bats after a player broke one. It was his passion. Keep up the good work! I love your passion!

-Tom

April 23, 2022

April 21, 2022

Hey Zack, I’ve been watching your videos for about 4-5 years now. I am so thankful for what you have done, making me feel like a part of the game, meeting players and catching balls at the games! More so what I am trying to get to, when are you going to be in Cincinnati this year or can you give me a clue when. I saw your video at PNC and got so mad because I go there so often during summer but I am still in school. Again thank you so much for the joy you have brought to me!!!

-Davis

April 20, 2022

Hey Zack,

I just wanted to say thank you for the coverage you had of your time in Reading to see the Fightins. I am in college now so I wasn't able to attend the game, but I have been going to Reading since I was born. I was born in 2003 and apparently, I was there when Ryan Howard was hitting bombs and young Taylor Swift was singing the national anthem. It brought me so much joy to see you showing how fantastic of a place Baseballtown is.

I am a huge fan of you and this should go without saying, but a huge fan of baseball. I will support anyone who loves the sport as much as I do and does their part in growing the game which you do a fantastic job at in so many ways. It's especially special to see you doing that in Reading, the place where I fell in love with the game 15 years ago.

Thanks again for all that you do and best of luck this season.

-Jack

April 18, 2022

What’s up Zack, hope all is well. I’ve been watching your videos since around 2015 and have always been fascinated by your work. Just finished watching the documentary that recently came out about you and thought it was great. Also as a big Yankee fan, I went to batting practice last Sunday night when they played against the Red Sox — was one of the first people in the stadium too — and found it crazy how many people were in the outfield for BP. In years past I’d always at least have a little bit of room to maneuver around but there was literally no room to do anything. I noticed you had a similar problem in your Yankee stadium videos too so I was wondering what your strategy will be for Yankee games? Keep being you and fuck the haters. Best, Justin.

April 18, 2022

Hey Zack, hope you’re doing well. A few days ago you met my friend Nolan at a Pirates game and he was very excited. He texted a bunch of his friends the picture you guys took right away. Today Nolan had a monster game for our JV baseball team and he was awarded co player of the game. He had a clutch double as well as great defensive plays in our big win today. We have a team instagram account where Nolan was posted as a reward for his big performance. Is there any way that you can comment on this post (attached below) congratulating Nolan on his big game today. I know it would mean the world to him. Thank you for your time and for all you do for the sport of baseball Zack!!

-Vincent

April 18, 2022

Hey Zack, I would love to meet you one day but can never get lucky enough to go to a game your at. I mostly go to see the cardinals at Busch Stadium because I’m 13 and cannot travel myself lol, I would love to go to another ball park but I personally don’t mind always going to see my favorite team in the St Louis Cardinals. I’m actually going April 30th for my birthday, I’ll be turning 14 and if I could see you there that would be my dream. I’ve been watching you for years and you’ve inspired me to keep going and love the game of baseball. I personally want to thank you for changing my life cause baseball is amazing and I love it, I always look forward to watch your videos and always watch them all. From me to you THANK YOU.

-Caleb

April 18, 2022

Hey zack. I just got done watching your movie. Absolutely love it I will continue to watch it almost everyday for the next several months I’m sure lol. My daughter is the one who introduced me to your YouTube videos then I found myself showing her videos of you more then she would show me lol. You have brought my daughter so much joy and she has became a maniac out at the ball park for baseballs I love it (also me too) lol. thank you for documenting your passion. I also had no idea how much time effort and hard work you really put in to doing what you do. Congrats and hats off to you for doing what you love man. That’s too bad that some people have negative things to say about you. It’s there loss I think you are an amazing person man. I just added catching a homerun ball to my bucket list. Hopefully one day I could meet you and run into you at a ball game. I only attend Angels games at the moment because the pricing is do able for me and the family lol.

-David

April 18, 2022

Good morning Zack. This isn’t one of those creepy fan messages requesting something weird. This is a message from a father who has 2 sons who are still living on cloud nine after meeting their idol. I wanted to reach out and say thank you! We were on our way to the Pirates game yesterday and your name got brought up. My wife got on your Instagram and saw where you were at the game Saturday night and we told our boys to keep an eye out for you. When you walked down the aisle in our section yesterday my middle son poked me and with the most shocked, surprised look I’ve ever seen in his eyes he goes “Zack Hample is behind me!” The picture you took with them was the highlight of their Easter.

You are definitely their role model. We got to a ton of WVU games and he’s the mini version of you when it comes to snagging balls. He’s brought home over 40 from those games so far this year and another 12 from yesterday’s game. Heck he’s even made his own cup trick but hasn’t been able to use it. Thank you for being a great role model that my boys can look up to. My wife and I really appreciate your generosity yesterday.

Oh and they were already up and watching more of your videos this morning.

Thank you again and have a great day!

-Joe

April 18, 2022

Hey Zack I just met you at a Toronto blue jays vs New York Yankees game in New York a week ago, I was wondering if I could at some Point do a watch with Zack game with you it would mean the world to me in New York at yankee stadium. Please let me know and was a pleasure to meet you.

-P

April 18, 2022

Hi Zack first off I am so a big fan. When will you be in Chicago for a game. Either White Sox or Cubs let me know thanks.

April 17, 2022

Hey Zack

My name is Cadence Ramos I'm from Amarillo TX, I've been watching your videos for years now and it was ironic last year when I was in Denver I went to a Rockies game and caught Alan Trejo's first homerun.

I remember thinking weeks before I went Denver imagine I catch someone's first homerun I was watching your videos and it was almost like I spoke it into existence the exact seats I picked ended up being the spot he hit it to, as soon as I heard it hit the bat I stood up, it was the only ball I stood up for because I knew where it was coming.

The stadium gave me a signed Trevor Story ball that night and Alan Trejo singed a ball with a message he wrote to me and sent it to my house, this was 2 weeks before the homerun derby. I than see you go to the derby and catch one of Trevor Story's homeruns and it was signed I was like bro how does he do this and how are we low-key connected somehow.

Well it gets a little deeper I'm a long time Redsox fan and turns out Trevor signed with us this year and I'm just like how are all these things all correlated.

I respect everything you're doing man despite everybody talking down on you, I always see you humble and giving away, I own my buisness and I hope to be able to give back like you do.

I plan on going to Fenway in August to watch Redsox and Yankees I've never been and it's been my dream to go, well I'm turning 26 in May and i just see time slipping away so I gotta make the trip happen, maybe we can do a watch with zach game and link up and catch some homeruns.

You The Man
Cadence

April 16, 2022

Hey Zack! Huge fan! I aspire to be like you every time I go to a game! In fact I like to call myself the Zack Hample of North Carolina! Since 2018 there has not been one game where I haven’t gotten a baseball game between probably 50-60 games for the Minor Leagues and 2 MLB games! I haven’t gotten around to watching your documentary yet but can’t wait to watch it! If you ever want to come to Charlotte or NC in general please let me know I would love to meet you! Some call the Charlotte Knights (Triple A for the White Sox) the best stadium in all of the minor leagues! Hope everything is well and thank you for always posting amazing and fun content! Good luck with baseball catching this year!

-Preston

April 16, 2022

Hey zack I just watch your documentary and I just wanted to say I was really inspired from it. Having a goal and never held back on you goals. That’s what I really hit me, to not care what anybody says or think of you. It was released inspiring to me seriously. If you in San Diego to watch a game hit me up I will enjoy catching a few balls with you.

-Victor

April 14, 2022

Hi Zack,

Hope you are doing well. I’m not sure if you remember, but at Yankee Stadium Monday night, after batting practice, I told you I wrote a profile about you when I was in college back in 2011! I can’t believe it’s been over 10 years now. Thank you again for that. It was a great experience for me when I was a freshman in college, and I appreciate that you took around an hour to talk to me.

I’ve followed you throughout the years, and although we’ve been at a couple of the same games, Monday night was the first time we got to meet. I was in New York to fly to Atlanta, which was my 13th MLB stadium.

So, thanks again, and it was awesome to see you in person if only for a minute.

Here is a link to that profile that I had posted on my old blog, that you actually commented on many years ago!

Sincerely,

April 14, 2022

Zack!

I’ve been following for years and always comment on your videos. I haven’t been lucky enough to run into you at Camden yards yet but one day that will come! I was one of the first to watch your documentary when it released at midnight a few days ago and it was incredible.

Is there anyway I can send you a ball or buy an autograph photo, book, or something cool from you? You’re an icon in the baseball world and would love to have some kind of Zack Hample memorabilia that’s personal.

I love the sport just like you and even actively involved as a local umpire for little league and high school baseball. Your videos have kept that spark alive for me and I am thankful for all of your hard work and passion you put into your videos. You deserve millions of subscribers

Please let me know what I can do to get some sort of autograph from you! I

Thank you so much for your time and keep doing what you’re doing!

-Cameron

(Ps, if you ever need a DJ for an event, I’m your guy!)

April 14, 2022

I love your videos. Your amazing. Period.

April 14, 2022

I am from the UK and have followed and played baseball for just over twenty years and I have only just found you!
I have been to about 15 games visiting and including Mets/Yankees(old and new)Cubs/White Sox/SF and Oakland.
You are living my dream and your video’s are amazing.
I am in awe at your popularity and the knowledge you know about ballparks.I adore ballparks.
I wish I could describe how watching your video’s blows my mind.I was also at the London series.
You seem so genuine and kind.
My dream is to catch a home run ball and give it to a kid.
Keep up the good work Zack.
Sending you love from the UK.
I hope we can meet in the future.

April 13, 2022

Hey Zack, I just wanted to say thank you again for being so nice to my son AJ. We went to the card shop today, showed off your autograph, picked up a ball case & some packs of cards. The ball that you signed was AJ’s very first ball that was a toss up from one of the Toronto coaches, he got another toss up from Teoscar Hernandez & at the end of the game he got a toss up from one of the Yankees bullpen catchers! Wow What a game for him! We watched your documentary and thought it was great! I was sad to see you take so much hate from people, anyone at a game will be excited to get a ball! You love that feeling & you’re just doing your thing being happy. The kids at the game loved you! That excitement is priceless & it was the same every time in your face in the documentary and the same on my son’s face. Do your thing and don’t let people try to steal your joy. I hope my son carries this day with him always. Best, from a grateful dad.

-Anthony

April 12, 2022

Hello Zack Hample,

My name is Matthew and I am 13 years old. Also I am from Chicago, Illinois. I’ve been a fan for about 4-5 years and One of my dreams is to meet you at a game. I am a big time Chicago White Sox’s fan and I had a question to ask you. When will you go to Guaranteed Rate Field? Thank you for reading this letter and if you can email back that would be amazing.

April 12, 2022

April 11, 2022

Zack,

I called in to the bookstore a couple hours ago and spoke with a super nice gentleman that took the book order from me and instructions for signing it. Also just ordered a couple tee shirts online as well for Finn. So I think he will be super excited, to say the least!

I want to just say one last time, thanks so much for responding to me and helping me make this happen, there aren’t many people like you out there. We really appreciate it. I hope you have a great season catching balls, but more importantly I hope you keep making people smile. Thanks Zack. Take care!

Sincerely
Kevin

April 11, 2022

Hey Zack, I just recently discovered your videos and I am loving your journey, what you have done for the sport is amazing, I have been a casual angels fan for a long time, but you have shown the life of baseball I have been missing. I just wanted to let you know that what you do inspires a lot of people and inspires so many to grab their gloves and catch some balls, so thank you

-Anderson

April 11, 2022

Hey Zack! Just wanted to tell you my family watched your new documentary the other night and really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing the details of your life with us. It’s truly fascinating. I did not know you had an “older” dad…me too. He is the reason I love baseball so much and he’s been gone 16 months now. I hope I’m passing on the love to my kids which I think I am. We met you in Arlington at the last game at Globe Life in 2019 which also turned out to be the last game I shared with him. Don’t listen to the haters and keep doing you!

-Mary

April 11, 2022

Yo zack, it’s Giovanni. We met at the fightin Phil’s yesterday. I just want to thank you for taking the time to come down to Reading and meet us. Your truly an inspiration to me and many other people. I hope you never stop catching baseballs. I love your videos.

April 9, 2022

Dear Zack,

My name is Emily. I am 12, and I live in Manhattan like you. I am a huge Yankees fan, and I also play hockey.

One of my best friends, Eli, showed me one of your videos about three years ago, and I was hooked. I have been watching you ever since then. Not only are you one of my favorite You Tubers, but you are one of my heroes.

I think you are very kind from what I see in your videos from giving balls to kids to fan interactions and much more. I just feel that you care and want to share kindness with people.

I am watching the documentary tonight, and it is amazing. I heard that when you were younger, you had a little bit of trouble making friends. I have trouble reading social cues with friends because I have ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. None of them stop me from being who I am, and I am inspired by you and your job every single day.

Good luck during the rest of the 2022 season!
Hopefully, 13,000 this year.

From,

Emily

p.s. I dictated this to my mom, and this is her email.

April 8, 2022

Zack I have emailed you before thanking you for being such an inspiration. Watching your videos just keeps me so pumped up for going to games. You have really inspired me to take the game to the next level with catching baseballs. I have learned the cup trick but I am not a master at that yet haha. But I will get there. Last season I managed to get six baseballs out of 11 games that I went to. No where near your record but I will get there eventually. I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration and I truly mean this when I say it but baseball wouldn’t be the same type of baseball without you at the games doing your thing. Keep doing what you are doing because I know you inspire many people around the world. I look forward to watching your documentary and I hope to see you at a game someday. Have a great day.
From,
Kyle

April 8, 2022

I guess i have been under a rock for past decade, never heard of you til last week. Now watching all your vids of utube, love em. You are a rock star. Safe travels. Fyi i grew up with Don Mattingly in Evansville Indiana. Mattingly fun fact, his senior year of high school baseball at Memorial High school. He had zero strike outs for the entire season.

-Kevin

April 7, 2022

Hi Zack,
Took my 8 year old son to his first spring training game a couple of days ago in Dunedin.
We had just watched your video of your interview at 620 AM here in Tampa (you were awesome) – so he was looking for you at the stadium.
He told me that he was going to do what Zack does to get a ball.  So he worked both dugouts for most of the game.
At the end of the 8th inning a player tossed him a ball – see attached pic.
When he walked back up to our seats – smiling from ear to ear and raising that ball in triumph – the crowd around us just cheered for him.
You’ve been a real inspiration for him.
Thanks so much!
Bill

PS: We’ll be watching your movie soon – hopefully this weekend.

April 6, 2022

Hey Zack hope you are well , finally getting to watch the documentary and of course it’s great, loving the back story of you wonderful dad it’s easy to see as it goes on how your character and personality has developed. You ARE a good guy so let the haters hate as they always will and clearly have something missing in there world , but you have so much more

In yours , love, support and friendship from many many strangers like myself who will always be here. So continue forward my friend and thank you for sharing your prospective of the beautiful game. Maybe we’ll meet some day. (Like May 2nd Fenway or July 26th citi field lol) or some other time . Take care Matthew (UK)

April 6, 2022

Hey Zack,

Just wanted to say how much I respect your love for the game of baseball.

I also wanted to say you really have inspired many people, and of course, made things look easy and fun. I also wanted to say I will be attending the Pirates-Dodgers game with a bunch of guys, so if you wanted to attend those games let me know. May 9 - May 11. I will be going on the 10th of May, so hope to see you there possibly. Also, I really enjoy your videos because you make them very fun to watch.

Stay safe my man

L.J.

April 6, 2022

April 5, 2022

Hi I am a 48 year old male from the uk, I know you get a lot of hate, but since my heart attack 3 years ago it has been a joy watching you, as I can’t go to games out in the USA at the moment I get the feel and atmosphere from you, please carry on.

-Matt

April 5, 2022

Hello zack I have been a fan of yours since I was about 17 and would love to be able to meet you. I would love to be at a game with you here in Arizona and would love to show you an amazing restaurant to eat at before the game. Please let me know when you plan on coming to chase field. Thank you

April 4, 2022

Hi Zack,

I hope all is well and congratulations on the movie! Really great stuff, I highly recommended it to people!

I’m sure your schedule is set for the MLB season and it’s going to be very hard to make any bookings with you. If that’s the case I totally understand.

However, I would like to try and watch any baseball game with you during this upcoming season whether it’s Double-A, Triple-A or even an MLB game. My initial intention for this email was to invite you to come to a Somerset Patriots game (Yankees Double-A) sometime this month or next month to watch a top MLB Prospect Anthony Volpe play baseball. I live relatively close to the stadium and I think it would be a great opportunity to experience a game with you.

If Double-A isn’t for you, I would skip the Triple-A and go straight to the pros. Either way let me know what dates you’ll be in the tri-state area and hopefully I can be able to attend a game with you.

Sincerely,
Mitch

April 4, 2022

It’s weird to me how so many people don’t like you. I don’t know if you remember, but I did a feature photo with you at oriole park a few years back, and I couldn’t have enjoyed spending time with you more! You are so passionate and you enjoy baseball so much, plus you gave away like 10 balls to kids. Major respect for you. And I’d love to get my photo autographed, which ended up on the cover of USA Today sports weekly.

-Evan

April 4, 2022

Hi Zack, I watched Zack Hample vs the World on my Amazon Prime account this past Saturday. I also took hand written notes. It was worth every penny. I'm glad you exposed the vile hecklers on video for all the world to see. I also used to like Marlins Man, but after what he said, man, he talks a lot of smack for someone who's claim to fame is just wearing an orange jersey. The irony of his rant. I'm sure the negativity bothers you, but when I think about it from a 3rd party perspective, it's....pure jealousy. Some people in this world cannot stand others successes. The world is cut throat so you have to be...like you said...be positive.

-Mark

April 4, 2022

Hey Zack, just wanted to say that me and my mom watched your documentary yesterday and it was awesome! I’m going to show it to my dad (my parents are divorced) and my family members that love baseball. Have a great day and good luck on your journey to getting triple digit game home run balls.

-Sebastian

April 3, 2022

Hey man been following you for a few years now and I loved your old video at the Big O in Montreal (used to go to 2-3 games a summer and was there during the Astros/expos brawls in 96) F all the haters, you're living out a dream most baseball fans would love to be living. You're making the game more fun for a lot of fans. Would love to link up next time youre in Toronto to say hi!

-Ryan

April 3, 2022

Hey Zack,

Watching through your movie now and just find myself in awe. Between your comments on the world just not having enough good people in it, and then also hearing how some of those interviewed portray you, I found myself dumbfounded. I don’t know that I’ve ever had much of a feeling towards you good or bad, but the idea that people spew so much vitriol towards someone enjoying a passion is crazy. Maria Marino summed it up nicely in saying you created a job where there wasn’t one and you get to live your passion every day.

I have watched your YT videos off and on for some time. The amount of marketing you do for baseball to the next generation is astounding and more than the sport itself has ever done. We all have quirks or things we struggled with, and while you had to deal with isolation and unfortunate circumstance growing up, you used that to shape and empower you rather than tear you down and cripple you.

Whatever indifference I may have previously felt, I can now say the only emotion is pride. I’m happy for the game of baseball and your involvement in it. I’m happy for you and living out your passion. Keep doing you.

If you get to Target Field this season and have time for a sit down, I’d love to interview you and ask questions. If you want to grab a bite or something, we could do that too. Be well and have a great year!

-Ted

Hi Zack,

I’m Spencer and I met you in person at the All Star Home Run derby and Game in Cleveland in 2019. I’m a huge fan of yours and appreciate all you do. I purchased the DVD of your new movie and love it. One of the things in your movie really touched my heart and that is when you talked about how you struggled in school with not having connected friends. I am 17 and struggle with the same thing. I don’t have any friends except for a few once in a while and have only one solid friend. I’m reaching out to YOU becuse I relate to you and you’ve been there. Now Zack that you're an adult, what would you say to a teenager like me. I appreciate any help or advice you may have to get better connections with people. I really want a friends group and a girlfriend who I can connect with.

Thank you so much for helping me or offering up any advice! I know you are very busy! I look forward to your next videos and this baseball season!

-Spencer

April 2, 2022

Hey brother, I’m a 49 year old male, and your love and passion for the game absolutely has inspired me Zack, and for that I thank you. I was involved in a catastrophic car accident 3 years ago where I lost my left leg along with numerous other injuries and I literally would give anything to have my leg back and my old life and to be able to run around at games like I use to but now I do it through your videos so with that being said, I hope you don’t retire and continue on for many more years. Thanks for the joy Zack, I really appreciate it!

-P.

I am getting excited you are posting almost daily again and it's only Spring Training. I think we are gearing up for an awesome season of baseball. Zack you have brought my love for the game back in full swing, unfortunately being disabled with limited mobility I can never have the fun of chasing baseballs again and now on fixed income the luxury of going to games is a distant dream but in my goal for 2022 I am remaining positive and feel blessed being able to watch your videos and experience the excitement through you and the fans. Zack you may not know the special impact you have on all your fans but just know we appreciate you and what you do greatly.

Man I saw your documentary and loved it but I can't believe all the hate you receive. I'm the worst ball hawk in history but love to go to games myself, and also love trying to collect autographs etc. I've been a follower of your channel for a long time and always love the content helps me get through some of my worst days at work.

March 30, 2022

I watched the documentary with my dad last night - so so good and I’m texting all of my friends to watch it. I’ve been a fan of you since 16’/17’ and we have prolly been to the same games multiple times and I’ve never gotten to stop by. I’ve read all your books and everything. Anyway you inspired me to do some ball hawking myself and I have a 20 game streak going with at least one ball which may not seem like a lot but I’m getting there.

Hope to meet up with you this Season

Hey Zack

I’m the one who commented on your video when you went to Jupiter I believe and my buddy Nick Davila of the Lakeland Flying Tigers threw you some baseballs. Him and I texted after the fact and said you’re a cool guy. I went to Dunedin Tuesday and tied your record with 7 foul balls outside the stadium! Thanks to your video last season I believe! You’ve inspired me to do that and honestly I can’t thank you enough for it! I equate getting each baseball to feeling like a kid inside of a candy store with how exciting it is!

Watched your documentary last night, safe to say, I loved it all, I was truly impressed and glad to have gotten more of a backstory about you, and what you do. I looked up to you after I saw the whole A-Rod 3000 hit fiasco and when you got threats on Twitter but how you handled that, as well as your situation with keeping the ball, giving it back and still continue to do what you love to this day is so inspiring. It made me really appreciate you and what you do. Even after the fact at the all star game in San Diego sticking it to that fan, I see nothing wrong with what you do. You love collecting baseballs and being that 10th fielder out there. Pretty much why I got into photography, I couldn’t play professional sports but I can capture it and be on the field.

Keep doing what you’re doing man! I don’t want to see it stop, the videos are great, whenever I watch them I feel like I’m right there with you. I’m still in Tampa and I hope to catch you at a Rays game sometime! Where we can talk more, we met briefly in 2017 at the Rays vs Angels game at the Ted Williams hitters hall of fame but never talked or anything. But I’ll be watching to see if you end up coming back down to St. Pete for a Rays game, nevertheless I’m excited to watch your journey throughout the 2022 season.

I wish you all the best man! Truly keep doing what you’re doing! It’s so great to see!

All the best, and much respect and gratitude from Tampa,

-Alex

Hi Zack! I am a 12 year old baseball player who lives in New York and I'm a huge Yankee fan. I just want to thank you for all the content you put out. During hard times your videos really made me enjoy baseball a lot more. I think it's really cool that you catch so many baseballs. I have only caught 2 baseballs at baseball games. I enjoy watching your videos and hope to one day meet you at the stadium. Thanks again for all you do.

Sincerely, Daniel

Dear Zack,
My name is Luis and I am 14 years old. I live in Wisconsin and I am a huge Brewers fan. I have been watching your videos since around 2017-ish and have always wanted to see you in person. With that being said, is there any way I could mail you a baseball and could sign it and mail it back? I could stamp it and give you an extra box to send back and give you a baseball so it’s no worry to you.

Thank you for your time,
Luis

Hi Zack,

Just wanted to say that I love all your videos always fascinated by what you do and I think its great and really entertaining to watch. I love baseball also but being from the UK its hard to watch the games (although I do subscribe to MLBTV) however that being said I have a job opportunity in the states for 4 months from July to October. I love the “Watch with Zack” games you do on the channel and wondered for my first major league game I could be a feature when I get over there. Thanks Buddy and keep up the great work.

-Mitch

Hi this is Martin, I'm 13 years old and I love sports. And my faverite player is you. Even though your not a official player but I consider you one. I was watching baseball the other day and I saw you catch a home run. I would love to help represent you and your YouTube channel by wearing merch. If you send me something I'll wear it with pride. and it would mean the world to me.
Thanks, Martin
And if you can’t send merch can you send me a autograph.

Hi Zack!
I've been watching and enjoying your videos for a couple of years now. I enjoy your content very much!
I had been busy but just got the chance to see your universal DH rule post. You are exactly right in what you say there. Baseball is not just about the home run. It's the subtle nuances of the game that make it so enjoyable for many of us. Not sure how many haters you had on this subject, hopefully not many because it's a sucky rule, but know that I certainly stand with you.
I also wanted to add that I am a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan, often long suffering but diehard nonetheless. Cincinnati is a small market team and doesn't get a lot of love I appreciate the enthusiasm you bring when you visit Great American ballpark. You're always very complimentary of the facility and the town. I appreciate that very much as I'm sure many other Reds fans do too.
Keep doing what you do! I enjoy you very much!
Hopefully this lockout gets worked out soon!
My best to you!
-Billy

Hello-

I feel like I know you because my 8 year old twin boys watch you 24-7. They have even expressed that school is horrible because they take away from being able to watch you. We had gone to the turf to play the other day when it was finally warm enough to be outdoors and they played Zack. lol. Here is a picture of them in the stands throwing and catching a ball just like Zack. LOL

Hey mate Daryl here from Australia. I've been watching your videos for years!recently every day. I am writing to say thank you for doing what you do and making the content that you make. I have bad depression and tbh your videos help me relax and give me joy. The way you love the sport and give balls to kids. That's what I love is seeing kids and other humans happy. I hardly use social media but my friends told me to reach out and tell you my story about how much your videos bring me joy. I watched your video about the mean comments. Don't stress about them people you're doing an amazing job. I hope to see you when I come to the states. I'll even bring you an Australian league baseball. Much respect mate.

Hi Zack,

Hello Zack Hample. I’m a huge fan and have been watching for three years my name is Micah Hayes and I’m 14 and live in idaho (you might remember me when I commented once or twice on your YouTube video and you replied saying “thanks here’s to three more”) I just wanted to say I love what your doing and please don’t stop doing what you love. I love watching your YouTube videos and there the highlight of my day. If it’s ok I was just wondering if I can ask you a few questions you don’t have to answer all of them.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

When your making your YouTube videos do you ever see it as working or do you see it as just doing what you love and having fun?

What is your most proud achievement at a baseball game? Like favorite thing you received or even favorite moment.

What is your #1 pet peeve when your at a baseball game?

What do you usually do in the off-season?

And finally is there an easier way to reach you or is email the best?

Thank you so much for letting me take up some of your time and I really appreciate what you do.

-Micah

I have to give you a huge shoutout. My father wasn't really around in my childhood, he ran his own business and worked way to many hours. He recently sold his businesses and retired. We went to a baseball game in Milwaukee and I was talking with my dad and was telling him about you and your amazing youtube channel. We were watching batting practice and low and behold a batting practice homerun ball came in my general vicinity and I caught it the 3rd one of my life. My dad was super proud of me and he started watching you and your channel and said I need a few more baseballs to catch up. So I think because of your channel we formed a bond him and I never had as a kid. So thank you Zack for getting me back into baseball and the bond me and my dad have formed due to a baseball game and talking about you.

Hey man I love your content and your positivity. I remember checking out your first book in my school library and I red it like 3 times. And I just wanted to say I love your stuff.

Hey Zack! My name is Aiden and I am a huge fan of baseball and you! I’ve been watching your videos with my dad for a couple years now and I wanted to thank you for the good memories I’ve had with him as well as little secrets about some stadiums I wouldn’t have know about if it was for your videos. I’m headed to spring training this year in Florida and I was wondering if you had any advice for meeting players, getting balls, and maybe get an auto or two? I’m going to a Yankees Phillies game on the 2nd of March in Clearwater and we are also planning on going to a game in Dunedin and or Tampa. Are you headed to any Grapefruit League games this year? I’d love to meet ya!

Thanks again,
Aiden C.

Hi Zack! My name's Liam, and I emailed you a few years back about catching baseballs. But now I have a really big question: Do you think I could make a career catching baseballs like you do, or is it a lot harder than it seems to be? Thanks, love your videos.
